    Home team gets last line change in hockey. Home ice/court/field advantage is huge in any sport because of the comfort level the athletes have... being around their family, home cooking, being able to sleep in their own beds. Also, the most glaring advantage is the energy you get from the crowds. - go to 1:45 -- that would give any team a huge boost from the start of the game. Hawks fans are awesome.

    Wow listening to Judd Sirot or however you spell it on the radio is nothing short of BRUTAL. How many times has he said "sharply" so far? Also... his reactions to what's going on on the field are so delayed I almost already know whats happening by the sound of the crowd. Maybe I'm just spoiled with Pat Hughes.

    I know there been enough written about Aliu and his 'tude, but he is a talented player who does play with a bit of an edge on the ice.     Depends if they can find a suitor for anyone else... I am sure the Hawks don't WANT to trade Versteeg... they just wanted to get something for him if he were to become an UFA... hence the sign and trade talks. Also, trading Huet at this point is more or less suicide... Crawford/Niemi duo isn't going to get us anywhere this year.
