  2. Hopefully not after his past surgery, now that would be stupid.
  3. morgan endsberg goes to the Whale's Female Crotch
  4. Baltimore, MD: Huff to the Cubs for OF Pie. Jonah Keri: (3:06 PM ET ) Hadn't seen that one either. Link? That would make me cry if I were a Cubs fan. Just on espn chat. Has to be a joke, right?
  5. the have scheduled a jenny craig consultation for fielder Skip Craig. Straight to Dr. 90210 for the stomache staples. They are also looking to acquire a mustache comb for Mike Maddux.
  6. I think it has more to do wth teams being able to have their trades completed before the games begin that day. So players aren't sitting in limbo during the game, not being able to be used, etc. Or just because midnight was a pain to deal with? It sucked for media coverage, and let's face it, isn't that what the game is about?
  7. http://espn.go.com/mlb/columns/bp/1409616.html neyer is trying to cover his butt. PR move. this is a great article summarizing Ron for the Hall.
  8. I ALREADY READ THAT ONE Did you, really? Busting chops today, ask anyone. Nice scrubs reference.
  9. in that order, eh? I could do either order. I'm crazy like that.
  10. I'd definately stick where you are. I don't remember if you are doing a keeper league or not, but Jackson will be great at #2 and an awesome keeper for the next couple of years. At #23, you should see what is on the board and decide to get either a top WR or get a #2 RB and then get a top WR after the #1 pick takes his two selections.
  11. yes yes yes yes yes awesome
  12. Is there any reason NOT to have him bunt???
  13. I just came here to say that exact same thing.
  14. win win win. Great picture with the street sweeper.
  15. He just had a day off Monday. Yeah give him off Friday against Cincy. Especially with Lee and Sori not getting real good hacks right now, we need A-Ram in there. Lee just came back from a 5 game suspension and went 2-4. Pretty good. But he did just have a 5 game break. Outside of a 3-5 game vs. SF, Soriano is in a 2-32 slump, or something like that.
  16. per why give so much money in 1 position and not the other: The reason that they are giving so much $$ to Tillman and Vasher is because of the importance of their position for the defense. In a normal cover 2, they would play a zone and fall back. This would allow the Bears to have a different number of players in there who could possibly do the job. Because the Bears run a Tampa 2, their schemes require the corners to play man on the outside. Because of the man coverage by the corners, it's imperative to have solid CBs. There are less good CBs in this league than at any other position. So, to lock up 2 of the better, younger CBs in this league long term is a great plan.
  17. It's not necessarily that the Cubs are in the race, but more that StL isn't. It's hard to get up and excited to play a team that is going nowhere this year.
  18. Let's get a win here. Gallardo will be shelled in Cincy.
  19. Is this situation annoying for anyone else: Just had our fantasy football draft live. 12 teams, 14 rounds. That's plenty long enough. Yet, about 4 different times, we had a manager who was trying to swap draft picks and pick up another slot. i.e. he wants to switch picks in the 4th and 6th and then you could have his pick in the 12th round. His reasoning is that he felt he had 3 or 4 WR's on the board who were quite similar and there might be someone who felt stronger of a person, so they could help each other out. Yet, in each situation, it resulted in about extra 10 minutes for his pick, an extra half an hour for the draft. Does anyone else's drafts get this in depth? Was I in the wrong to oppose his trading rights, in the favor of not splitting hairs between Jabar Gaffny and Ronald Curry?
  20. Get a win today. I'm 4-0 on the year in attendance. Let's make that 5-0. See you in an hour or two, Wrigley.
