yikes...did you notice a difference between the cubs and braves today? the cubs clutched their way to a hard-clutched clutch from behind clutch, while the braves choked away a lead in the ninth.

rockies did a good job of getting francis out of there before things got ugly. i've noticed that jd drew doesn't swing very often.

you know, i kinda thought izturis was going to come through. it's the neifi perez theory...a guy sucks so, so bad for so, so long and it gets to the point where everyone is starting to realize that he shouldn't be playing, and then he comes through once to buy himself another two weeks. aka the glendon rusch theory.

Before last night, we had the worst batting average (.233 or something close) with bases loaded. I reiterate --- the Cubs choke in pressure situations!! weren't you proven to be laughably wrong on this point in another thread?

you can't be a good team if jones and izturis get meaningful ab's. jones looks like he just woke up from a nap 90% of the time. i think he wants out.

Yea, that was nice. You remember that one time when we traded Neifi to some team that's not on the north side of Chicago? That was cool too. We needed a replacement though, and Izturis was most qualified to fill Neifi's shoes. Dodgers just fired their hitting coach.. Pierre has been a bust for them so far. Boy, am I glad he's gone. hate to break it to them, but firing the hitting coach isn't going to make pierre any better.
