  1. I know, right? the cubs, for instance, ALWAYS get a guy in from 3rd with less than 2 outs. exhibit #628
  2. I know, right? the cubs, for instance, ALWAYS get a guy in from 3rd with less than 2 outs.
  3. good job swinging at ball 4, guy hitting .160 representing the tying run.
  4. glad heyward didn’t try to run against the guy that has allowed 94% of base stealers to successfully steal.
  5. How about 3 times? the probability of doing what the cubs just did seems very low.
  6. two innings in a row failing to score after having a guy at 3rd and no outs. hard to do.
  7. of course the passed ball was an obvious strike
  8. well that was a real limp dick inning that didn’t live up to my expectations
  9. if cubs lose this game, season over. if they win, this was the turning point in their championship season. slightly exaggerating.
  10. well at least one of the cubs’ pending free agents likes money.
  11. no chance in hell you can say his heel indisputably did not scrape the plate. he was prob out, but his outness was certainly not indisputable.
  12. no f’ing way you can overturn that. cubs lost the heyward play at the plate on a phantom tag yesterday because the call on the field went against them. here the call on the field gets overturned. just get rid of replay.
  13. wolters pinch hitting? some...interesting choices tonight.
  14. what a dumb horsefeathering challenge, my goodness
  15. you know a guy realizes he has nothing when he does a pitch around intentional walk to the 8 hitter with first base occupied.
  16. i feel like JD thinks sciambi is annoying
  17. i apologize for calling davies a “good control/no velocity” guy when he’s actually the ever elusive “no control/no velocity” type.
  18. oh, i mostly agree. if the reasonably priced, free agent-to-be, #3/#4 in the rotation guy the padres had available to trade for darvish threw 95 mph, that's prob who would be in davies' spot in the rotation right now. and if the trevor williams-ish free agent that could be had for $2 mil threw 95 mph, that's prob who would be in his spot in the rotation right now.
