absolutely ridiculous that by the end of the cubs' games today (assuming game 2 of the DH happens), the cubs will have one game left in the season while the padres have three. what a HUGE advantage for the padres to know where the cubs can max out at when they still have three games left.

and they spent how much more money on this piece of horsefeathers team? i don’t know how many more indicators are needed before this entire horsefeathers front office gets sent packing.

I don’t know why everyone is so mad. all it is taking for the team with the biggest payroll advantage relative to the rest of their division to squeak into the playoffs by one game in the last week of the season with 88 wins is one of their players unexpectedly having literally one of the best seasons in baseball history. that is obviously a repeatable and perfectly sound strategy.
