    hopefully i'm getting all these weeks where my opponent scores 350 out of the way before the playoffs. if cordero hadn't [expletive] all over himself tonight, i'd actually be half way in this one.

    if the cubs are comfortable throwing a defensive OF of floyd, jones and fox/ward out there in the midst of a pennant chase, i think they could more than get by with soriano, pie, burrell. the cubs are in a position where they really have to make a hard push for dunn or burrell this offseason. arod would work too (moving derosa to rf and theriot to 2b).

    And he will start Thursday...bye bye Al Alburquerque! I also irrationally hate certain 21-year old Dominican kids on the basis of 11 appearances. Theres never any hatred. But he gave us no chance to win and get in the playoffs and thats what we are playing for. He was way overmatched at this level and always "hurt" The only thing they are playing for is possibly developing into future major league baseball players. Getting Peoria to the playoffs is pretty meaningless. Your post makes no sense at all. You can't possibly believe that minor league players don't want to win, and make it to the playoffs at every level? his post makes no sense?

    words to live by. probably should be your sig. seriously though, can we quit whining about luck for a while? the cubs just won two games they should have lost and they miss webb this weekend. if the brewers had missed webb and won two games in two days in their last ab, this board would probably explode into the biggest pity party of all time...i mean, it practically crashed when gabe gross went 2-4 or whatever.

    It's always fun to have a guy who is a legit threat to hit a HR off the bench, and nothing more. But he hasn't been able to do anything against RHP this year. Need to keep his playing time very limited. DO you think Lou will be limiting his playing time? I see him filling in for Floyd & Murton a lot more. Which is terrible. Lou may even try to play him in CF. See you in a few weeks Fox or Pie. Right, because Lou is such a terrible manager. He just does dumb stuff all the time. He certainly isn't getting the most out of this team. not saying that lou is terrible, but "getting the most out of this team?" you have to be kidding. it's a $100 mil team that's like four games over .500. if that's the "most," i don't want to see the "least."

    yeah, floyd looked terrible last night. i'm happy for him that he got the big hit, but he's going to have to slug at a better-than-juan-pierre rate for me to give him any love.
