i also agree that it's not that hard to fit half-ass managing a fantasy baseball roster into your schedule. i work a full-time job and have a wife and two kids (one born 2 weeks ago) and i still manage to find time to check into a computer roughly 700 times a day. unless you're an astronaut or a sea captain i have no idea how you don't have 49 seconds on a monday to be like "hey, wonder if i have 6 guys on my DL." if you're not actively managing your team it's probably because you just don't care (which is fine), not that you don't have time.

it's just a pain in the ass to be like "oh, six weeks ago my opponent had an illegal roster, please retroactively change the entire league results for the last month and a half." for maybe the first time ever, i agree with don. this league sucks now and i might be done after this year unless we a) replace a bunch of people b) get a commissioner c) clarify/eliminate/change a ton of rules.

i don't care that he made a mistake (or mistakes). but mistake or not, there has to be penalties. if you don't want us to get upset about people breaking the rules, then STOP LETTING THEM GET AWAY WITH IT. i don't give a [expletive] if he has 18 guys on his bench every week if he just automatically loses every week. what makes us upset is when someone has an illegal roster for the 7th time this year or for 2 straight months and we say "eh, mistakes happen," and NOTHING happens. we've been through this routine like 5 times this year. time to start putting some teeth in these "penalties."

wow, unreal. he had 100.25 points thru wednesday. those points need to go. not only has this been going on for months apparently but this is not the only time this has happened with him.

yes. though i don't think i've ever had that problem. the only time it would come up would be if you had like 5 guys all starting on sunday or something weird.

well, yeah, that's the other solution if we for some inexplicable reason can't set the league up to disallow illegal rosters.

and for fucks sake PLEASE set up this stupid [expletive] league so it simply doesn't allow you to have 26 guys or whatever on your roster. i've never seen a league that allows you have an illegal roster like this. [expletive] absurd.

I know we don't enforce rules or really have a commissioner and this league is pretty much a lawless mad max style wasteland, but I'm gonna have to say chuck should not be able to use either of the SPs he had on his 4 man bench for the first half of the week. obviously the correct enforcement of the rule is that he gets no points for the days he was illegal but we've abandoned that rule for whatever reason. i don't think disallowing the use of the pitchers on his overflowing bench is particularly harsh. especially since...well lets just say his isnt his first offense.

i wouldn't say you're "screwed," i'd say you somehow got away with playing lawrie at 2b for half the season when he wasn't eligible there. why are we paying cbs money for this shitty league again?
