  1. Roast's team is open in my MLB Dynasty League. I'll be honest, it's not the greatest team ever, but it's got a strong nucleus that includes Zambrano, Aramis, Webb and Lincecum. Here's the entire roster: Offensive Starters C- Jorge Posada NYY 1B- Jason Giambi NYY 2B- Placido Polanco DET 3B- Aramis Ramirez CHC SS- Christian Guzman WAS CI- Richie Sexson SEA (1B) MI- Mark Grudzielanek (2B) LF- Gary Sheffield DET CF- Ichiro Suzuki SEA RF- Brad Hawpe COL OF- Torii Hunter LAA (CF) UTIL- Kosuke Fukudome CHC Offensive Bench 3B- Troy Glaus StL C-Jason Varitek RF- Justin Upton ARI OF-Skip Schumaker (STL) Starting Pitchers SP- Carlos Zambrano CHC SP- Brandon Webb ARI SP- Tim Lincecum SF SP- Aaron Cook COL SP- Livan Hernandez MIN SP- Jake Westbrook CLE SP- Hiroki Kuroda LAD SP- Jon Garland LAA SP- Rich Hill BAL SP- Randy Wolf HOU SP- Micah Owings CIN Relief Pitchers RP- Billy Wanger (NYM) RP- Damaso Marte (NYY) RP- Kyle Farnsworth (DET) MINORS Offensive Prospects C- Max Sapp HOU 2B- Delwyn Young LA SS- Preston Mattingly LAD SS- Ivan De Jesus LAD OF- John Mayberry TEX OF- Ryan Sweeney CHW OF- Brian Pettway TOR Pitching Prospects SP- Billy Petrick CHC P- Jeremy Jeffress MIL SP- Phillipe Aumont SEA You get up to 20 prospects in your farm system, and as you can see Roast only had about 10. There's a decent amount of good prospects still available so if you know your minor leagues, you can rebuild the farm system pretty easily. Let me know if you're interested and if you have any questions about rules or anything let me know. There's a few other NSBB guys in the league too.
  2. As earlier mentioned its most likely ABs or games played that will allow him to reach those incentives. He could always play a lot of games and get a lot of ABs and not play well. Maybe he's affected by the wrist injury? I'm not really expecting this, but there is a possibility for the Dodgers to lose out on this deal.
  3. Rose/backup PG Gordon/Salmons Deng/Salmons Thomas/Noah Bosh/Noah Is that team good enough to compete at the top of the Eastern conference?
  4. Hinrich, 2 1st round picks, expiring deals for Amare or Bosh over the summer? Or Hinrich in a separate deal for parts to use in a trade for one of those guys? T2 or Noah included in there somewhere too maybe?
  5. Loving the Bulls moves right now. If they can unload Hinrich, I'll be extremely satisfied.
  6. Honestly, I don't know. It's pretty tough to shoot for that high of a percentage when you are one of only a couple decent scoring options on the court for a team.
  7. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/basketball/bulls/chi090218-chicago-bulls-trade-kings-timberwolves,0,3854012.story Why would they reject that??? Hinrich has no place with Rose on this team. He's not worth what he's getting paid to back up Rose and play some 2. Even if he was still our starting PG, he's not worth what he's getting paid.
  8. I've seen more traveling violations called in this quarter than I've seen in the past 5 years combined.
  9. It's the only way to win in the NBA. You need superstars. They could also trade their expiring contracts for a star as well. That said, 2009 would be pretty much the same as this season. Maybe a little better if Rose, T2, and Noah continue to improve. I have no problem waiting for 2010 if it means we get either Amare or Bosh and another good #3 option to go along with one of them and Rose. OK, I understand this. But last time we had a load of cash, every FA in the league said no to us and we wound up with nothing. So there's no guarantee. I hesitate to say any top FA is really going to want to play for Vinny. Everyone knows he's a joke so please tell me part of this plan is to get a real coach. Here's what I know. A couple days ago we were going to get Amare. Today, we wound up with nothing. An all-too-familiar position to be in with this franchise. At some point the big acquisition needs to be actually completed. Positioning is great n' all, but my confidence in this club to close the deal with a top player remains very, very low. Well we didn't have Derrek Rose on the roster last time around. I completely agree with you about the coach, however. Vinny would definitely have to be replaced by then. As for Amare, I don't really know what happened. It sounds like Phoenix just realized that a coaching switch might be the smarter move than trading Amare. If it comes out that the hold up was including Noah or a 1st round pick or something, then you have something to be mad about, but it looks like this was just on the Suns. There's a lot of time between now and the summer of 2010, but I'd say there's a high probability of the Bulls being able to land either Wade, Amare, or Bosh (as well as another FA).

  11. Wow. We'd have over $30M coming off in 2010 between Hughes, Miller, and Cardinal.
  12. That would be fantastic. Collins is only signed through this year and Cardinal's 6.3M would come off for 2010. We'd have enough space to sign a top FA (Amare or Bosh) and also get another very solid FA.
  13. I really like this trade. It became obvious in the past few days that Amare wasn't coming to the Bulls. Since there's really no FA I'm dying to get in this class, it's best that we get out of Noc's contract and add another contract that comes off in 2010 and go for it all then. Now if we can just trade Deng and/or Hinrich for anyone with an expiring 2010 contract that would be awesome. I honestly don't know much about Salmons. Is he a guy you'd be comfortable with starting if you have Rose and Amare also on the team? Or will he be better used in a 6th man role?
  14. I'll be so pissed if T2 is traded for Kaman. Trade him for Amare, Bosh, or nobody.
  15. I think this goes down tomorrow.
  16. If T2 is traded, I'll be sad to see him go. Yeah, he makes stupid plays, but he's so much fun to watch.
  17. I wish Gordon would spot up and just shoot 3s all game.
  18. Noc pisses me off. Noah should have gone back up with that.
  19. Outside of a few mistakes where he was just trying to do too much, he's had a pretty solid game.
  20. Sounds like Noah would stay. I think it will be Gooden, T2, Sefolosha or Hinrich, and our first rounder. If we gave up Kirk, I think we'd have to take back someone from them to even out the cash.
  21. I really don't see that happening. They already have a ton of outfielders/DHs. If they wanna spend more money, I'd go after Sheets if I were them.
  22. I prefer to pretend like Mark Prior never existed. He could have really been something special. I'll never forgive Dusty for screwing that up. I'm pretty sure he could save my first born child from a burning building and I'd still hate the man.
