  1. rose's mid-range game is fine. Howard's defender won't be able to help on Rose's penetration as much either. Regardless Rose has to get better at creating offense for his bigs in the paint with his penetration.
  2. Please win 3 more Dallas
  3. You don't really need numbers to know that starting pitching is currently this teams weakness. I really wish we didn't trade Gorz for nothing, but oh well. As far as our offensive production goes, I see it being somewhat sustainable. Our BA isn't going to remain quite as high, but were going to hit more homers (Aram) and hopefully take more walks. The only guys on our team who have done a good job in that department so far are Fukudome and Pena (Soto has been good too and Ramirez hasn't been as terrible as the rest of the team). I'd like to see our hitters, mainly Castro, start drawing more walks. Getting Soto back will also help with our offense a lot.
  4. I did. Somewhere in the middle of blowing a 12 point lead we should have substituted Boozer and Noah. Taj and Kurt were giving us nothing at that point. We could have used Boozers offense. Noah may have been able to help on LeBron on defense a little bit too. That said, the biggest fault of Thibs (outside of never changing/developing an offensive gameplan) was leaving Brewer on LeBron for so long. Plus having Deng guard Miller and then Rose on Wade. I understand not wanting Deng to pick up 6, but at that point he wasn't doing anything on the offensive end anyways, so we may as well used his defense. Plus when it got down to 3 or so minutes left you gotta just play him and if he fouls out so be it.
  5. Would LA be willing to do that? If I'm the Magic I'd prefer to get back younger, healthier talent but you'd probably have to take that offer and live in NBA mediocrity for the next 7 years.
  6. So that's the threshold for "psyche-damaging?" Not sure what you're getting at, but Rose has immense pressure in his hometown and this will be a long offseason for the young guy. And yes, the Bulls can be players for Howard if they choose to be. You'd have to part with Noah and either Gibson or Asik plus draft picks. Done. Noah, Gibson, Asik, 2 firsts this year, and the Bobcats pick. Add in Watson/Brewer/Korver if needed to match salary. Rose, 2 guard, Deng, Boozer, Dwight. Championship.
  7. that person should be kicked in the throat. riley recruited two all stars to play there and then sat back and watched them win a bunch of games. what a genius. Its a silly award anyways. Are we awarding it for one great offseason? Building a team is a long process that involves years of planning in advance. If we were going to give it for just moves within a calendar year, it arguably could have been Walsh to get it. I mean for Gar to get it kind of means you are rewarding him for taking Rose 3 years ago, not to mention the salary planning he did for 2010 the past two years. Same for Riley. In my mind you're awarding him for bringing in Thibs, bringing over Omer, forming the bench mob, and of course stealing Scals from Boston
  8. Haha to Bosh and Bibby trying to check Rose.
  9. It's not like they're going to have any trouble selling out.
  10. Going to bed. Looks like Memphis finally ran out of gas.
  11. Durant is going to murder somebody.
  12. Seriously Thunder? Westbrook is obviously not closing. Give the ball to your best player and top 3 scorer in the league.
  13. This. What a choke job. Again.
  14. He gets a foul called on him or turns the ball over everytime he tries. Boozer had a pretty nice game for once. For the first time ever, I'm going to say Derrick hogged the ball too much. He needs to penetrate and kick or run a real offense.
  15. What had they done two minutes before that? I turned it on just in time for Bynum to almost kill somebody Odom purposely rammed into Dirk and got ejected 2 mins ago
  16. That's just disturbing. Way to spit on the legacy of your HOF coach, assholes.
  17. So he's done being an effective low post scorer for the rest of the postseason?
  18. 3 days off? WTF NBA?!?
  19. Why are you waiting? How much are they going for on there?
  20. Awwww. Someone's feelings got hurted. So did someone's ankle. Not your best effort. I like your jokes about Rose's 3 point shooting the best.
  21. Not getting Korver enough minutes/giving Bogans too many. Kyle Korver got WORKED by Crawford and Johnson during his minutes. Crawford and Johnson hit a bunch of bs. Korver needs to play more in general and more with Rose in particular. Completely agree. Korver's defense wasn't bad. They made a lot of highly contested shots. That won't happen again. ATL is a pretty good team when either Crawford or Johnson are on fire. The fact that both of them were, and we still had opportunities to win the game makes me not worry too much. Back to Korver. You're right he needs to play more with Rose. The offense of Rose, Korver, Deng, Boozer, Noah was one of the most efficient scoring offenses in the league and is what won us a lot of games in the 4th quarter. However, that being said, Derrick needs to go back to driving more. Too many times he would try to force the ball to Kyle coming off a screen resulting in a turnover or a contested elbow jumper for Korver. Hit him if he comes free, but if not, he needs to drive to the basket. Besides his shooting, Korver's greatest asset to this team is his ability to spread the defense as a decoy.
