  1. Damn, I didn't even realize he was still out there. This is a horrible, horrible decision. The guy is coming off arm problems, and you are gonna throw him out there for a 6th inning when he's already above 90 pitches!?! It's not like he's even pitching that great. yeah, but don't expect dusty to think about that. Which is why he has no buisness being the manager of my team if I were Jim Hendry. Well what choice do he have? The bullpen is spend as it is and our next day off is in two weeks. Glendon Rusch? Roberto Novoa? Anyone other than leaving in ANGEL GUZMAN. A guy who has had a bad history of injuries in the past and who I would prefer to be a large part of our future.
  2. It's the bottom of the lineup. He was also over 90 pitches and hasn't been brilliant with those. He's also Angel Guzman, who's main concern has been not getting hurt. Yep, I didn't even think about his pitchcount. You're right. Dusty, aren't you supposed to be managing the game and not on the computer?

  5. I agree. It has to be a lot of pressure on the starting pitcher knowing if he gives up a run or two, the game is essentially over.
  6. I don't know what your Aardsma post is, but I agree about Guzman. At time he looks filthy and in command of the hitters and then at other times he looks like Glendon Rusch. Oh he NEVER looks like Rusch, man. Guzman has filthy stuff. He's been struggling with control. Rush has bad stuff, but sometimes (in a great while) he's able to pitch okay when he has good control. I meant the results look like Rusch's results. For example, Jeromy Burnitz going yard and then almost doing it a second time. Also, Chris Duffy (or whatever his name is) getting solid hits.

  8. What did he do? I'm "watching" this on gameday. I don't talk to Pirate fans when they are owning us. Just kidding...Ramirez hit a sinking liner into left and took his sweet time running to first while watching the ball. When he saw Bay dive and miss and trap it, he took off for second and made a horrible slide into second.
  9. It looked like ARam was running in slow motion.
  10. There are 12 more consecutive days of play after today. Who would pitch in his place? Yo-yo Williams up again? He couldn't do worse. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe 1.1 IP and 7 ER is worse than 3 IP and 4 ER.
  11. Well it's always fun when the game is over in the 3rd inning...oh yeah, and losing to inferior teams, that's fun too.
  12. Because Restovich sucks too. You could go with Hairston in RF and Neifi on 2B, which is what I would do. I wouldn't do anything involving Neifi...unless it was releasing him.
  13. A lot of breaking stuff. Nice job Murton...didn't he get a lot of those infield hits last year?
  14. Nice inning for Guzman. Let's get him some run support!
  15. He caught Corey Patterson disease. There is no known cure. Being traded to the Orioles...well it has a 50% success rate at least.
  16. It appears that WGN is back working at my school so I will now be able to see the game. Being done with finals really rocks! Now that I say this, WGN will be lost again at 1:19 exactly...
  17. I definitely think the announcers are favoring the Bulls, if they are favoring either team. I'ver heard Nocioni, Deng, Hinrich, and Gordon all be referred to as guys who are "becoming superstars" by the announcers. Great two wins the past two days, but it's gonna be VERY hard to win Game 5 in Miami without Tyson. The calls the past two games have been going our way, and that isn't going to happen in Miami (like it didn't happen in games 1 and 2). I think the Bulls have a shot to ride this momentum and win game 5, but I just wouldn't bet on it. The UC would be going frickin nuts though in game 6 if we pulled off a win on Tuesday night.
  18. Best pick of the 2nd round...Daunte Culpepper
  19. What? How do you know Jennings won't be good? By good I meant a steal. Jennings is fine but I didn't want them to take someone that would make me worry any more than I already do about Seattle. Okay, that makes more sense. Kiwanuka nice pick for the Giants.
