  1. Remember back in the day when everyone attributed Matt Clement's success, along with Wood, Prior, and Big Z, to Rothschild? I'm hoping that a lot of the decisions made the past couple years regarding the pitching staff were Dusty's and not Rothschild's. Either way, I don't like him coming back. I'm just trying to make this somewhat bareable.
  2. God himself could descend from heaven directly upon Wrigley to manage the Cubs and wouldn't be enough for some around here. That's some ridiculous hyperbole. Yeah, I think I'd be satisfied with God. I guess I'd have to first see how he handles the pitching staff though.
  3. Unless your league awards 100 points for a 2 pt conversion, because Brunell had one of those.
  4. I don't think Leyland or LaRussa are particularly good managers. But anyways, I was originally against Lou because of things I heard about him on here. After hearing him talk about needing to work the count and not putting horrible OBP players at the top of the order, I've started to shift sides. I'm gonna take a wait and see approach on this one. I do know that a hard-nosed fiery manager could do this team some good. They really lacked fundamentals last year and I didn't like the overall attitude of the team. We'll have to see how this turns out. Jesus Christ, himself, couldn't lead this team, as its currently assembled, to a WS. Jim Hendry has some work to do.
  5. stupid dolphins. Bears Chargers Colts Everyone else... Are the Saints for real? Are the Steelers gonna play like that the rest of the season?
  6. I'll be different...Brunell. But seriously, go with Rivers.
  7. Cincinatti (-5.5) over TAMPA BAY ATLANTA (-3) over NY Giants Tennessee (+10.5) over WASHINGTON DALLAS (-13) over Houston Carolina (+3) over BALTIMORE Buffalo (-1) over DETROIT ST. LOUIS (+3) over Seattle Philadelphia (-3) over NEW ORLEANS Miami (+2.5) over NY JETS PITTSBURGH (-7) over Kansas City San Diego (-10) over SAN FRANCISCO DENVER (-15) over Oakland Chicago (-10.5) over ARIZONA
  8. So your bold predicition is they won't become the greatest team (record wise) ever? Quite the boldness there :D lol, thats what i was gonna say.
  9. Where is the best place to sit for your money? Last year I sat first row in the 300 section and it was alright. I'd like to get closer seats this year, they just cost so much money.
  10. You're kidding, right? Why in the hell would the Marlins trade Hermida for Cedeno and Jones? Hermida is cheaper, younger, and will eventually be much better than Jones. Cedeno is horrible and they already have a nice MI with Uggla and Ramirez.
  11. Which means even if i hold on for the win (SCORE UPDATE PLZ) you will keep your spot in 1st place because you should have a massive points lead on me. Lost 39-47.
  12. I think my move is the worst. I traded TJ Houshmandezah (hopefully thats close enough) for Kurt Warner. That's right, KURT WARNER. I had Trent Green and Aaron Brooks as my QBs and they both got hurt week one. Warner was coming off a pretty strong game and thought he would be alright with the skills players he had around them. The available QBs all sucked and I have pretty good receivers. Yeah, horrible move.
  13. 388 389 390 391 392 393 394 ...and still going! Good thing I decided to not play the Hendry "uh"/"um" drinking game. I woulda been bombed after about 3 seconds.
  14. i miss Shaun Alexander
  15. Rarely do 31 year olds suddenly develop good plate discipline.
  16. List of top 10 from BA 5 years ago Wouldn't mind if this year's number 9 (Veal) turned out to be the same quality major leaguer as number 9 five years ago.
  17. Scouting report from BA on Veal
  18. Wow, this guy is obviously very much tools over performance. He later states that he thinks Colvin has a chance to crack the top 100. Wow, I wasn't expecting that answer when I asked that question.
  19. When are they questions going to be answered?
  20. lets let Gould kick a 66 yarder to cover the spread. please?
  21. that's the ball game! no flagsssssss
