  1. Well they threw in the towel with about a minute and a half left and before that they were playing horrible. They are not a very good team, but they weren't as bad as you probably witnessed.
  2. Bulls over Detroit in 6. I really like the Bulls chances over the Pistons. I think we match up real well with them.
  3. SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP
  4. YO!!! Fast as hell, hands aren't dependable all the time, but agreed... probably as much of a play maker as Ginn. Figurs is a great return-man. Probably as good, or better, than Ginn. However, he is going to be nowhere near as good a receiver as Ginn. He doesn't have the hands or the route-running ability. Two things that are probably the most important attributes for a WR. Agreed! I said, play maker, not receiver. He can make people miss... My post was more to the other guy. I just quoted you because it was easier. I agree. Figurs is a huge play maker and will be a very good return man.

They are both very raw at WR, but Ginn is better than Figurs.

  7. Maybe the NFL knows what we've been saying all along....ND is overrated! Furthermore, the guy at the ranchreport said he spoke to an NFL scout who said several teams had Quinn rated as a second round talent. I think many teams were concerned with his throwing accuracy. Whether they are right or not remains to be seen. I'm elated he fell because it allowed the Cowboys to get the player they wanted and essientially trade a 3 and 5 rounder in this year's draft for next year's 1st which could be a top 5-10 pick. That is a steal. I think teams had a legitimate concern about Quinn and when you consider the money that first round QB's get, they passed. I do think the Dolphins were moronic for taking Ginn, but not because they passed on Quinn to do so. I don't get why everyone thinks it's so "moronic". The Dolphins needed a WR and they took who they felt was the 2nd best WR prospect. He's very raw but has skills. He had 8 receptions for 108 yards and a TD on Leon Hall. The guy can play! Everyone says "Haha the Dolphins drafted a KICK RETURNER 9th overall". That's dead wrong. The fact that he's going to be one of the best kick returners in the NFL this year is just a bonus. Before the foot injury, he was a top 10 pick, so it's really not that bad of a pick. I agree it's a bit of a stretch, but someone on here posted that NFL network said that Houston was going to take Ginn at 10. So if Miami wanted Ginn, they had to take him there. He's a playmaker and has speed. Those are 2 things the Dolphins desperately needed on the offensive side of the ball. Also, not drafting Brady Quinn was a great decision. They got John Beck (who they had rated slightly above Quinn) for probably less than half the price. Overall, I think the Dolphins did a good job. I would have rather seen Amobi Okoye drafted to instill some young into the front 4, but WR/playmaker on offense was also a need.
  8. Get off Quinn's stuff. He isn't that good. btw, you sound like ESPN. He IS that good. Explain to me in rational terms why he's not. Nothing about "big games", because that's crap (Russell crapped the bed in his team's biggest game in 06, why does nobody bring THIS up?). I originally called Cleveland as an 07 playoff team, but after allowing myself some time to think about it, I'll pull back slightly. They'll be a .500 team. The other two ND guys were both taken higher than I thought they'd be, but Abiamiri is going to be a good one, Eagles fans will like him. Ryan Harris sucks. He is good, but I don't think he's gonna be a stud QB. I can't give you a great explanation of why, but obviously there's something there if 21 teams passed on him. The Jags certainly don't have the QB position locked up past this year and they didn't take him. That tells me something. These scouts and coaches get paid a lot of money to make these decisions and if 21 teams went with other players, then that's enough for me. The Dolphins had John Beck rated "slightly higher" than Quinn. So they got a player that they think is slightly better, for half the price. Not bad. I could explain to you about how I don't think he has the accuracy to be a star QB, but it would be pointless. You probably won't change your opinion and I won't change mine. I'm gonna go with the scouts and coaches that put Quinn through all the workouts and tests and made a decision that he wasn't worth a pick in the top half of the first round.
  9. Get off Quinn's stuff. He isn't that good. btw, you sound like ESPN.
  10. Oh yeah, Brady Quinn had such a tragedy today. He got picked in the first round and is going to get paid millions of dollars still to play football. Jeesh.
  11. Dallas, Jacksonville and Baltimore are the biggest threats to take him before then I think. I wouldn't consider Dallas a serious threat for taking Quinn, I think if anything they're bluffing and trying to get someone to trade up with them. I could definitely see KC taking Quinn as well. KC was supposedly very interested in Ted Ginn so maybe there was some deal in place between Miami and KC. Quinn and Green for Ginn?
  12. It would be incredibily dumb for Denver to select a WR.
  13. Good call.
  14. Oh man...I want Olsen!
  15. GB takes Justin Harrell and the GB fans don't like that. haha
  16. That's what Favre would want. Bowe to GB?
  17. Oh man...all hell is breaking loose on the fins message boards.
  18. Lawrence Timmons to PIT. Good pick. Quinn to the Pack? That would surely piss off Favre.
  19. I thought Hall was rated ahead of Revis on just about everyone's board.
  20. If it was "Tin Ginn" you'd be perfectly right. I think everyone misunderstands how much the media overrates Brady Quinn, and how underrate how much professional football teams don't care for him. I'm a fins fan and I hate this pick. I didn't want Brady Quinn either. I agree that he's highly overrated. I want Okoye or trade down to take Ginn. You can't take Ginn at #9. STUPID. NFL Network's reporting Texans would have taken Ginn had the Dolphins not. Hmmm. Well that would have been a bad pick for the Texans. Ginn should go in the 14-17 range, IMO.
  21. I disagree. Brady Quinn is hugely overrated. I wanted Okoye or a trade down with Denver.

  23. Why are you happy that Detroit selected the best prospect available in this draft and one of the better prospects ever coming out of college? The whole 4 WR in 5 years thing doesn't really matter when 2 of them turned out to be nothing. Roy Williams and Calvin Johnson together would be scary good. Kitna is a decent enough QB for a couple years, but that will eventually need to be addressed. Drafting the best player available is never a bad idea. All that said, there's still a possibility of Johnson being traded.
  24. Hold on to Calvin Johnson. He's going to be a stud. You're really going out on a limb with that prediction. ;) Ha, true. However, just because someone projects to be a stud player, doesn't mean they will. If that wasn't the case, the Lions would not being selecting their 4th WR in the past 5 year.
  25. Hold on to Calvin Johnson. He's going to be a stud.
