  1. 2)-Soriano would be such a perfect #3 hitter if he could do what he does at the #1 spot there, and maybe Kosuke could be an OK leadoff guy, and Lee would be just fine in the 5 spot. 4)-If only we had a guy in the minors who was just knocking the cover off the ball. And if only he was a lefty.
  2. I was thinking the same thing the Braves are done, probably for the next few years. Theres no point losing anyone to a team with nothing to lose. The worst that can happen for them is someone gets suspended and they bring up a minor leaguer for an audition. For us, we lose a few and are screwerd, especially if its Soriano and Lilly.
  3. Looks like the Brewers will actually be tested the next 4 days. Peavy today, and the Dodgers the next 3. Im expecting them to go 2-2 or 1-3 in that stint, so people can finally stop commending them for tearing through horrible teams.
  4. meh, hopefully Peavy can shut down the Brewers tommorow, if not, in LA it will be Parra vs. Billingsly, Bush vs. Lowe, and Suppan vs. Kershaw. And that Dodgers lineup looks pretty tough on paper.
  5. Lou makes the right move  I guess Samardjiza's starting Sunday then? Just cause Marshall throws 1 inning here, doesnt mean he still cant start on Sunday. Hell Jeff went 2 or 3 innings the 1st game Didnt look like Marshall worked up much of a sweat there, so Id say hes fine for Sunday if Lou gos that rout.
  6. Ive really had enough of the Tomahawk crap every time someone gets on base for the Braves.
  7. Seeing Nolasco pitch for the Marlins makes me sad. When I first really started paying attention to the farm system in 2004, Ricky Nolasco, then Carlos Nolasco of the West Tennessee Diamond Jax was one of the first prospects to really catch my eye.
  8. Guess who homered for Iowa again? Hint: some fat guy has the job thats rightfully his.
  9. Until Lou puts him in the game. So sometime in mid September Im guessing.
  10. When their playing days are over, Zambrano and Fontenot should have an Odd Couple like sitcom.
  11. Im starting to wonder if the center field platoon, if considered a single player might be our best all around player on the team.
  12. I say we go to Marshall here. Still, even at his worst, Harden gives up 0 runs.
  13. I say pull him after 5 just to be safe, no matter how many hits he has or hasnt given up.
  14. Why the hell is he channeling the spirit of Rich Hill?
  15. So much for waiting 2-3 times through the lineup to figure this guy out.
  16. Nice. 1 more run and its a guaranteed win for Harden.
  17. With Chipper out of the lineup, the Braves have no excuse to score runs vs. Harden. Get well soon Chipper. Soon being Friday.
  18. I guess Fukudomes defense is too valuable to take out of the lineup. He could give DeRosa a night off though. The Fontenot situation is starting to bear resemblence to the Cedeno situation early in the season, when Ronny was in that hot streak but couldnt earn any playing time no matter what he did.
