Its funny you say that, yet are clamoring for DLee to go to DL and Hoff to take over. Hoffpauir is good defensively. It's not an insane suggestion because of defense. While good I highly doubt hes near as good as DLee is at picking throws. To be fair, there are not alot of first baseman who are as good at picking the ball as Lee is. So I doubt we would see an increase in errors from ARam or Theriot, just because we go from Lee to Hoffpauir. That statement makes no sense. You say there arent alot of 1st baseman who are as good at picking the ball as Lee, but then say errors woudnt increase without him at 1st? In case you havent noticed Aram and Theriot both have a tendency to throw alot of balls in the dirt. He may not be as good as Lee, but he was named best defensive first baseman in the minors, so that suggests hed be better than Ward.
