  1. Seriously. Use him like you use Harden. He'd be fine, I think. Because theres nothing more wed rather do than relive the Prior/Wood Saga.
  2. http://homerderby.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/09/randall-simon-bats-the-italian.jpg FINISH THEM
  3. Especially if you take out Bon Howry.
  4. So hed rather suffer a more severe injury right before he hits free agency?
  5. I wonder if Lou will keep Harden on a longer pitch count, considering that if we win, it will likely be his last appearence until October. And I agree with rawaction about not really caring about the loss, but it was still frusterating not being able to get anything done vs. a bullpen we've been laughing at all season. At any rate, I think that Dave Bush should be easy pickings if the offense comes out to play. Ramirez, Edmonds, Soriano, and DeRosa seem to really enjoy Bushes company, however, I wonder if Lou will start Hoffpauir at 1B considering his complete ownage of Lee. .182/.182/.227/.409 against him. Seriously, just give him the day off.
  6. http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20080917&content_id=3498016&vkey=news_mlb&fext=.jsp&c_id=mlb cetainly doesnt sound very good.
  7. This is a must win game. For the Brewers anyway. lets send em to Cincy empty handed. Still, it would be a good one to win. It could be the difference between clinching at the Friendly Confines or that Howry Hole in New York.
  8. At this point, I'm almost not worried about them making the playoffs; I just want them to get it done and out of the way. Crikeys, if we lose tonight, we still have an 8 game lead 4 game magic number with 11 games to play. If we didnt make the playoffs, the collapse would be nothing short of epic. Still, the Brewers might want to consider having thei bullpen pitch the whole game tomorow.
  9. Man, if we let Gagne shut us down, you know it aint happening tonight. Hopefully Harden takes care ob buisness tommorow and it ends this weekend.
  10. Well, congratulations to the Brewers and their lights out bullpen on not having to be on the other side of the field when the Cubs clinch this thing.
  11. It looks to me like the Cubs came into this game with the mindset that they were facing a top pitcher, and it was OK to lose this one, and had no intention of breaking out the lumber.
  12. Gooz-marmol-Wood could be absolutely devastating. This game is by no means out of reach. lets not let the Brewers rally around the fact that Sheets couldnt make it to the 3rd inning, but their bullpen came through for them.
  13. I wonder if Sveum will be kind enough to give us the gift of Gagne.
  14. Marquis has been nothing short of on ever since that unfortunate start ton the 1st inning. Give the man some run support here. The Brewers blowpen should be spoon feeding us runs here.
  15. If only Prince could pay off daddys gambling debts with base hits vs the Cubs.
  16. For as much as they have pestered us this season, I can't really sympathize with them I do feel pretty bad for them. They were on the cusp of the postseason these last 2 years, and now looks like they'll be rebuilding next year at least, if not for the next several. Good for us, bad for them, but I don't hate them like I do St. Louis. Probably because I rooted for them all those years in my childhood when they were in the American League. I remember being ticked that they didn't catch the Blue Jays back in '92. I was glad they moved to the NL in 1998 because then I could see the Cubs in Milwaukee. Im sure that if the shoe was on the other foot theyd be crying in their Velveeta.
  17. Being held to 1 run vs. Ben Sheets OK. Being held to 0 runs vs. the Brewers Bullpen not OK. Make something happen.
  18. Marquis seems to have settled in here. Time for the offense to do the same. No more excuses. Instead of Marquis vs. Sheets, its Marquis vs, the Brewers Bullpen. Good thing Gallardo hasnt been activated yet.
  19. I wonder whats wrong with Mark Prior...I mean Carl Pavano...I mean Chris Carpenter...I mean Mark Mulder...I mean Ben Sheets.
  20. If Marquis can avoid imploding for a few more innings, Id say our chances just got better.
  21. We got Ray Durham out for the first time since Dusty Baker was welcome in Chicago. I have a good feeling about this game.
  22. Phillies up 4-0 in the 5th, Mets up 7-2. Looks like the Brewers are playing to keep pace this evening.
  23. Cubs are going to win this one. I just thought Id throw that out there.
  24. I bet if you get Ted Lilly in on it, you'll find that we have the best 1-2-3-4
