  1. Sometimes you've just gotta sit back and
  2. Ludwick leaves Cards game with strained Hammy. Im sure he'll be fin thought. Pirates 7 Cards 1 Marlins 3 Brewers 0(I can pretty much guarantee Koronka doesnt shut them out though.)
  3. http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20090512&content_id=4688358&vkey=news_mlb&fext=.jsp&c_id=mlb Just as the Cards seem to be really sinking. Im sure he'll be back in the lineup by thursday at the latest(or not).
  4. Font is really learning 3rd. Im just saying, Ray Durham is a phone call away.
  5. Imagine his stats if he played half his games somewhere other than Petco. Like Wrigley.
  6. Padres have 2 respectable hitters, and they both smoke Harden. go figure.
  7. Maybe Hank Whites very presence will be all it takes to get Soto in shape and remember how to hit.
  8. Dear Lou, For the love of God, play Bobby Scales. Aaron Miles is an affront to baseball. Sincerely, CT At this point Id rather have Miles in the lineup than Soto. Free Koyie Hill! So I take it Freel isnt to far from the DL either? Hes the obvious choice to hold down 3rd for the time being.
  9. How is he still on their active roster with only 4.1 innings?
  10. What does this even mean? He's saying he expects the Cubs to make a trade for one of those 3 guys today and they will be in the lineup tomorrow. Replace expects with hopes, and yes.
  11. Between Braun, Kinsler, and Youklis, this may well be our golden age in baseball. If only Adam Greenberg made it.
  12. We get it, The Brewers are better than expected, but they are by no means good enough to take the division and run off into the sunset. They're hot right now, but unless this is you're first season as a Brewers fan, you'll remember that there M.O. is to get really hot, and then the bottom drops out. Just when you think they're collapsed, they get hot again. Just when you think theyre unstoppable again, they fall apart. Repeat process. Unless Melvin has another Sabathia up his sleeve, Bush, Suppan, Parra, and Looper are by no means a championship rotation. I have little doubt that Gallardo will one day be a legit ace, but at this point, he not ready to carry an entire pitching staff that below average on his back
  13. I say it comes down to it being OK for pitchers to celebrate after getting out of a tough inning, but its tabou for a hitter to admire a home run or pump his fist going around the bases.
  14. Remember Brian Wilsons stupid little DX thing he does after getting a save: http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/blog/big_league_stew/post/Brian-Wilson-isn-t-very-happy-with-Casey-Blake-r?urn=mlb,162567
  15. No DL for now http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20090511&content_id=4675840&vkey=news_mlb&fext=.jsp&c_id=mlb
  16. The irony of the season will come when Rich Harden is the only player on the team that doesnt miss any time due to injury.
  17. Wells is going to have to dazzle in his next start or 2 for that to even be considered an option. As of now, hes either going to take a pen spot of be sent to Iowa as a starter and await for the next one to go down.
  18. Reinhard with 4 innings of 0 hit 0 run 1 walk ball. Could this be the latest name brought up in game threads when were wondering why the hell Patton and Cotts are on the big league roster?
  19. We got him from the Rays for Jae Kuk Ryu a few years back. He put up solid numbers in Iowa last year, and hes been pretty dominant this year so far.
  20. 1B/OF Russ Canzler and RHP David Cales have been promoted from Daytona to Tennessee. Fox is in the game today. Also, Greg Reinhard gets his first start of the season. 2 perfect innings thus far.
  21. Sosiano is an overall decent outfielder, but the problem is, once in a while he makes a play so mind blowingly horrible that he gets a lot of heat.
