Honestly. if he gets suspeded, it will be one of those 5 game/1 start deals, and they can appeal long enough to get Rich Harden back, at which point Wells or Marshall, whoever doesnt get penned can take the start.

The forfeit lineup hasn't done a thing, it's the quality pitcher they are throwing that's kept it close. How many pitces has he thrown anyway? Id very much like to see a reliever.

I'd be fine with just giving the job to two of the three and then using the third as a backup, but I don't think the answer is Kevin Kouzmanoff. I still would like to see Ray Durham signed, however. And yes, this is all moot now with the demotion of Scales and promotion of Blanco. :D Durham would be good, but hed probably need a few weeks to get ready. And now that Freel may be injured, something might have to give.

Z looks to be going out there for the 7th as nobody is warming up. Z is one of the guys I don't mind going a lot of pitches. As long as he doesn't suck. How many times has out starter gone that 1 extra inning than he should have and gotten smacked all over the place?

If Blanco can get on base, we can see some Jake Fox action. Pretty big if though.

I was much more concerned he was out for the season, so even just getting him back for August and September is huge. either way, were going to have to finally get a real baseball player for 3rd. As opposed to all of those fake basketball players we've had at 3rd? :-s whatever they are, they have no business starting for a contender.

Now Freel may have a legit injury. Good by 3 headed monster, hello trade. Probably not, but it would be nice.

Why did they make the change? Freel was limpin back to first after that awkard rounding of the bag...maybe he hurt himself. Good, now they'll be forced to make a trade. Or more likely, bring up Doug Deeds or something stupid like that.

He's never played against you before. He did Monday and got 2 or 3 hits. Theres just something about light hitting backup catchers vs. the Cubs.

Steve Clevenger. Another catcher huh? I wouldve liked to see Marquez Smith. I know he just got to AA recently, but hes 24, which is a bit old for a guy who has never been past that level.
