    Question for anyone who has watched enough of a Sox game this year to know the answer: Does Stoney participate in that idiotic "You can put it on the boooooooard, YES!" homerun call with with that backwoods hick partner of his? Whenever I tune into a Sox game, I get the impressio that Stoney has nothing but contempt for Hawk and his idiocy. I cant imagine how anyone could tolerate that guy.

    He also mashed it at winter ball and spring training. Hes probably not a Ryan Braun. More likely, hes a Greg Vaughn at best for an AL team, but you never know. If we can give him some DH spots during interleague, and he performs, hopefully we can get something for him.

    I say give Soriano the night off. He could use a 2 day break with his sore knee, and the way hes been swinging like C-Patt lately, his bat is worthless to us anyway. I know Soriano goes through these stretches, but this one has been absolutely painfull. As for Marshall, the question is, is he auditioning for a job that hes already earned and should be rightfully his, or does he not stand a chance of keping it either way? If he can shut down the Dodgers, Lou might have to think twice. Either way, he or Wells could prove very valuable to our sickly middle relief core.

    We cant possibly know that unless Fox get the same kind of playing time as Braun did in 2007, and its pretty clear at this point that thats not going to happen, so we'll never really know. The Cubs aren't going into this Fox thing cold. He's been in the organization trying to play third base (among other positions) for 6 years. They should know at this point whether or not he can play the position. I was refering more to the hitting part. I'm not sure exactly how well Fox will hit, but the chances are incredibly slim that he'll hit anywhere near what Ryan Braun - one of the best young hitters in the game - is capable of. Maybe, maybe not. We'll never know, at least as long as hes in the NL because he'll never be an everyday player. He clearly figured something out in the offseason during winter ball.

    Why "yikes?" Soriano is just being Soriano. Bradley and Lee are that low because of how slowly they started. The only "yikes" here is using only BA like that/ I agree about Lee and Bradley, but as over rated a stat as BA is, even slumping Soriano shouldnt plumet from the .300s to sub .250 in the time it took him. With his knee, he could use tomorrow off with the off day Monday.

    That was the most enjoyable game weve seen in a while. Looks like were back on track, but sould still use an extra bat in the lineup. We could easily be 6-0 so far on this home stand, and have a ralatively easy road trip coming up going through Atlanta, Cincinatti(now with 100% less Votto) and Houston, and then we finish the month off with the sickly AL Central and the Pirates. Hopefully, when thats all said and done, were only looking at another few weeks without Aramis.

    Going by this, it doesnt seem like Lou has much interest in a trade. Apparently, hes waiting for Miles to come back and save the day. How quickly he forgets how horrible Miles was in his week or so on the DL.

    My God Soriano. I know he can come out of this mega funk at a moments notice, but he has been unthinkably brutal at this point. Especially with his sore knee, youd think Lou would give him a day off at some point.

    If you refer to one of the multiple Jake Fox or 3rd base related posts, you'll read more on the subject. From what I hear, the badness of Foxes defense at all positions is the stuff legends are made of, however, it couldnt hurt too much if they would at least give it a shot for a few games or at the very least a few inning when we have a huge lead or deficit.

    Is Dallas McPherson playing anywhere? Last I heard, hed sighned a minor league deal with the Giants, but isnt on there AAA roster. Hed be a decent option to at least try out assuming hes floating around some indie league.
