  1. thats that for the no-no/unofficial perfect game. Ill still take a complete game shut out though.
  2. The dude on MLB Network has been repeating the statement "Randy Wells has a no-hitter" about 10 times these past 2 innings. They're going to show the next inning by the way. But I assume those with MLB Network have WGN. It only counts if the teams fans say it. Im sure all Braves fans are saying it over and over. Probably Cards and White Sox fans too.
  3. why do they insist on doing that in the 7th? Its just asking for a jinx.
  4. This is random, but its kind of funny how Chipper Jones is so under rated. Usually, a guy who was the offensive power behind a team that domianted for over a decade would be on of the best known players in the game, but since when the Braves were god, they were known for their pitching, and when they were bad, he slipped under the radar.
  5. thats how baseball works. weak infield sinlge>loud warning track out.
  6. traditionally, hasnt Lee really heated up in June?
  7. I know that. I'm saying that if his bat was not in the way, it probably would have hit him. And if the short stop wasnt in the way, a lot of double plays would be base hits.
  8. Hey, Escobar might have gotten a hit on the next pitch. You never know. Hypotheticaly, if the rest of the game goes the same way, and thats the only Braves baserunner, would they be able to overturn it and make it a perfect?
  9. So will this be one of those times where Milton isnt DLd but rather site out for 8 games leaving us short?
  10. Theres no such thing as a challenge to Fred.
  11. better that than a 3 pitch, none of which are near the zone strikeout.
  12. If Bob Brenleys entire family was murdered by a former catcher, hed refuse to press charges.
  13. From here on out, Andres Blanco shall be refered to as non descript light hitting Latin American middle infielder.
  14. Gotta be between Todd Hundly and Mel Rojas.
  15. If all these guys would be so kind as to perform at their 2008 levels, this would be a great lineup. OK, not Kosuke, but the rest of em.
  16. This may be the only recorded case in history where I wish the Cardinals had won.
  17. The problem is going to be Hendry and Lou feeling they need to trade Miles. I think they like him. Trading Miles for nothing would be pointless. The problem with Miles isnt Miles, hes a perfectly average backup infielder. The problem is the 2 year 5 million dollar deal that average backup middle infielders should never get. That's true, but if we could get out from under the second year of his deal, that would be the point. The best wed be able to get would be a fringe prospect plus a team picking up 1mil of his 2010 salary. If the 2010 off season market looks anything like that of 2009, nobodys going to pay 2.5 mil for Aaron Miles.
  18. Did I miss something? Hes been playing with a sore knee for a little while now after banging it against the wall making a catch, I think it was last weekend.
  19. You knew he was going to turn into a decent pitcher that we got zilch in return for. Always happens. Wasnt the Cubs return based on his performance? Yep. hopefully he wins the cy young and we get wieters, markakis or adam jones. Too bad we cant just kick them Fox and some sort of pitching prospect for Huff or Mora and call it a deal.
