I know. Unfortunately, Baker and Fontenot currently have the two best batting averages on the Cubs at the moment. I'm not a huge proponent of bringing up Castro anytime soon, but Theriot's a lot more vulnerable than either of those guys right now. Of course, that could all change in a week or so. Baker and Font really dont have anything to worry about from Scales, whose major league ceiling is as a utlity man. However, if Chad Tracy keeps doing his best Aaron Miles impression,, and Scales keeps up what hes doing, that might be a possibility. As I recall, Scales was able to play 2B, 3B, and a bit of outfield, maybe even SS, and as long as Nady can play the occasional 1B, Tracy is made obsolete if he cant hit his way out of a wet paper bag. Also, Scales is a switch hitter. I am rooting for Tracy, but lets face it, last time he was a serviceable major leaguer was in 2006.
