  1. What an afful game. Ramirez really has no business in the heart of anybodies lineup right about now. How the hell is this guy still hitting above .100?
  2. http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/Are-the-Yankees-baseballs-most-hated-team-042810?GT1=39002 Surprised to see the Cleveland Indians as #1. Also kind of surprised not to see the Cubs on the list at all. I know were public enemy number 1 amongst NL Central fan bases.
  3. Nice day for Casey Coleman. 7 IP, 1ER, 3K 0BB Caridad pitched as well, 1 scoreless with 1H 1BB 1K
  4. I was actually thinking that Demp better take advantage since the Pirates are resting Wagner for some strange reason. Maybe he's day to day with an injury? I think he's dead. lefty/righty matchups.
  5. ...that is generally how it works. I dont know, I think Truffle might be on the decline.
  6. Is there another player in baseball quite like Fonz? I knew there are a lot of players out there who are very streaky, but Fonz can be absolutely worthless for weeks at a time, and then out of nowhere, he goes out of his ever loving mind and hit the tar out of everything he sees. Ive never seen a player who goes by such extremes as Fonz. KInd of like Super Mario when he gets ahold of his mushroom.
  7. Am I alone in thinking that it could be time to put Geo in the 5 spot and Aramis to 7 for the time being? Either way, it would be great to go visit our favorite Pittsburg Punching Bags on the heels of a 3 game win streak. Make it happen.
  8. Not to dog on Fuku, but this isn't the first season he's started out the season hot. The guy has a career 1.004 OPS in April, and his highest OPS month after that is .808, in May. By the time you get to September, his career OPS is .611. I'd love to see him with a consistently good year, but so far this season's story has started out exactly like the first 2. I think that pithchers got the book on him fairly early on in 2008, and hopefully hes made his own adjustments. Remember, 2009 bad Fuku wasnt quite as worthless as 2008 brutal Fuku. Also, we havnt see a lot of Fukucoptors this season, which is a good sign. His 2008 approach was to wait to get to a full count, and foul off every pitch until one was way off for an obvious ball or he could get ahold of one for a base hit. Pitchers learned that one he was in that zone, if they keep throwing low and away, hed swing right through one. He still sees a lot of low and away pitches and ist spinning back to the dugout in a cartoonish manner.I dont think he'll be hitting .350 or even .300 all year, but hopefully we can get a .280s/mid.800s type of slash line from him.
  9. After all of the wasted quality starts weve seen early on, its encouraging to see the offense and bullpen pick up 2 shaky starting pitching performances for come from behind wins, even if it is at the expense of a really bad bullpen.
  10. Looks like Derreks coming back to life. Your move Aramis.
  11. Weve left enough guys on base today. Lets send these guys home Derrek,
  12. Same result I guess. Still stupid move to begin with.
  13. Yeah, this is a much more logical move than just pinch hitting Colvin. Stupid old man.,
  14. Nice to see the Fonz come through after another Arama-fail. Suck it Howry.
  15. Hopefully this is just a bad outing and not the real Carlos Silva joining the team.
  16. Is anyone else the least bit worried about Watkins and Lee? Really not off to good starts. And Matt Spencer seems to be off to a nice start since being sent to Tennessee, however, I still see him as a AAAA type player in the long run, but who knows.
  17. Decent night so far Daytona Jackson 2-2 2B, BB Vitters 2-3 2B Tenn Castro 1-3 with a sac fly Carpenter 5IP 1ER 4 K 2BB, final line as they brought in a PH for him.
