  1. Rodrigos looking very sharp I. Still wouldn't leave him in more than 1 more inning.
  2. The wind isn't helping anyone today, nor are the Cubs base coaches.
  3. Nice catch by Lopez. Off to a very good start. Too bad Quade will inevitably leave him in too long.
  4. I should probably put the TV on mute to listen to something more pleasant than these 2, such as cats being fed into a woodchipper.
  5. Stoney and Hawk will make this disaster all the more palatable.
  6. Id be all for firing Quade right about now, but firing Hendry is pointless, especially when this is the time of year when he shines.
  7. He's probably a better option, but the Cubs are at the point where rather then sending out retread after retread, they should be trying guys who might have a future. I know that Jackson, Cabrera, and Coello have all been beyond awful, but these are the guys that they should be trying out.
  8. Good to see DJ go 3-5, even if they were all singles. Also, does Marwin have any shot at making our top 20 prospects? He was great in AA, and now off to a very hot start in a small sample size for AAA. For some reason, I keep thinking he's like 24-25 and he just turned 22. Is there anything to him, or is he another Andres Blanco at best?
  9. The embarrassment concludes this afternoon. Hopefully it leads to an interesting few weeks as far as transactions go.
  10. I have seen Big Z with some celebration after getting out of a jam, but I don't think he applies here. I can't imagine any sane pitcher intentionally throwing at that guy.
  11. Castro, Garza, Marshall, and Barney are the obvious guys who will likely be on the Cubs in 2012. Who else should be "untouchable", or at least close to it. When it comes to guys like Z, Demspter, and Soriano, Im not of the run them out of town for nothing mentality, but If defintiely listen to offers on them, as well as most of the rest. I only put Barney on the not on the block grouop, not because I see him as untouchable, but because I cant see them trading him, even though Id personally prefer Flaherty, LeMahieu, or Marwin Gonzalez.
  12. Good night on the farm on both sides.
  13. Sadly, the other 8 guys were anything but.
  14. I don't think that the Cubs have any right to refer to any other team as S u x.
  15. Pathetic. At least tomorrow's 9-2 loss will be more palatable, especially if it leads to the backing up of the truck. The White Sox may be mediocre at best, but they're head and shoulders above the Cubs in every aspect of the game. They deserve this town, and they can have it.
  16. Enough is enough of this garbage. Hopefully they can go ahead and fire somebody if for no other reason to appease us meatballs. If they don't want to do away with Quade just yet, I think the $3 million hitting coach would be a good choice.
  17. There goes the no-no, the shutout, and probably, the game. .
  18. Humber looks like a younger beardless Konerko.
  19. 3 innings in a row ended with a double play. Keep bailing this guy out Cobs.
  20. Guys like Barney are great to have toward the end of your lineup.
  21. Just giving Listach practice for the 2nd half of the season.
