  1. Put him at the end of the line behind A-Rod, Fukudome, Hunter, and Abreau.
  2. If Floyd retires or gos the the Marlins or the AL, we might need another old fat guy who cant play defense.
  3. '03 was a pleasant surprise. '07 was built to win.
  4. NLDS Cubs-3 D Backs-1 Rockies-3 Phillies-2 ALDS Red Sox-3 Angels-0 Yankees-3 Indians-2 NLC Cubs-4 Rockies-1 ALC Yankees-4 Red Sox-3 WS Cubs-4 Yankees-3 Thats my honest to God gut feeling. We'll just have to see what happens. No Dempster. No Ohman No Marquis.
  5. The Mets should have won their division the way they started their division, but they didnt. Who cares how a team starts out the season if they collapse less than half way through?
  6. If we're up 2-1 by then, put in Marquis, but on a short leash. If not, go with Z. As long as when the 9th inning roles around, and we're up, we dont see you know who, no matter how big the lead.
  7. On paper, the Cubs are a much better team than the D Backs, however, so are a whole lot of other teams that will be watching from the comfort of their own homes. We havnt had a lot of luck against these guys this season, but hopefully we can take them down when it counts.
  8. Hes proved for some time now that he cant hold on to the soap. It seems like he gives up at least a run every outing. Today, meaningless as it was, he got it handed to him. I know its not his usual spot, but still. When it comes to the playoffs, I really cant see Lou putting him a save situation over Marmol, Howry, or even Wood. If hes not the closer, hes junk. The way I see it, he will be wasting a spot on the playoff roster, and definitely the 2008 roster. Stick a fork in 'em.
  9. Sorry if theres already a thread, but if there is, I couldnt find it. Heres mine 1. Lee 2. Ramirez 3. Soriano 4. DeRosa 5. Theriot 6. Jones 7. Floyd 8. Soto 9. Kendall 10. Monroe 11. Murton 12. Fontenot 13. Pie(if Ward can play, he'll likely take this spot, as Monroes experiece will trump Pie) 14. Zambrano 15. Hill 16. Lilly 17. Marquis 18. Marshall(hopefully over Trashel) 19. Howry 20. Eyre 21. Marmol 22. Wood 23. Hart 24. Dempsastor waiting to happen. 25. Ohman or Cedeno depending whether Lou wants another arm or bat. Hopefully Cedeno, because while he isnt exactly usefull, hes not capable of the damage Ohman is. What's yours?
  10. I guess we know what lineup we'll see next time we face Harang, pending any of these guys being on the team by then other than Soriano and Soto.
  11. Hank White playing first? Interesting.
  12. How about we file under who gives a damn and leave it at that? It's Seth McClung for God sake.

  14. We gave up 4 wins, so yeah, Id say we gave up too much.
  15. The Brewers hand the Cubbies another gift. Thanks guys, but we really dont deserve it. Magic number 2. Yay. Not that that makes the Cubs a better team.
  16. barring some kind of miracle here, we're looking at an un deserved magic number of 2.
  17. I wouldnt be surprised to see Bell pitch another inning, at least start it off. Prince sure hopes so. hed love to get his hands around a rich, chocalatey Heath.
  18. Hopefully Heath Bell can keep this in line for Trevor.
  19. Possibly. Or it could be AZ. Or Philadelphia. Or New York. The scenarios are all over the place right now. In theory, the Rockies could finish the season with the best record in the NL. Yeah, forgot about them too. Whateverm any one of them could kick the Cubs ass. True, but it beats the hell out of getting knocked around by Florida if it happened. Been there, done that. Havnt those bastards caused us enough grief?
  20. The Padres are showing sighns of bobbling that soap. Hopefully they can hang on to it.

  22. Prince Fielder just read that post and hi-tailed it to Dennys. thats why he struck out so fast.
  23. Pads need to hang on one more inning for Trevor Time.
  24. The funny part is that we're here rooting for the team that may very well knock us out of the playoffs if we make it.
  25. lets hope that the Pads dont forget that they're in their own playoff race here.
