  1. I doubt that sure shots like Bonds or Clemens will be denied the Hall of Fame over this, or even on the 1st ballot, however I think that it will have a huge effect on the status of guys like Rapheal Palmeiro and Juan Gonzales who are on the borderline.
  2. Id be satisfied with most of these guys as a number 5, but I agree that we do need a solid number 4.
  3. Nothing like throwing away you're last year in the majors.
  4. Yeah, guess you're right. Hopefully they got a refund.
  5. Wow. You're very strange. So you're saying that none of these guys could have possibly had the foresight to order these meds under an assumed identity, so as to avoid a paper trail? And their doctors/providers couldnt have possibly helped them cover up for a fee? No, not in America, never.
  6. Chad Allen Mike Bell Alex Cabrera Jason Christiansen Paxton Crawford Chris Donnels Mike Judd (isnt he the Bevis and Butthead/King of the Hill guy?) Josias Manzanillo Cody McKay Bart Miadich Daniel Naulty Adam Riggs F.P. Santangelo Is anyone else wondering if some of these could be alias' of better known playes who were smart enough to mask their identites? I mean Im one of those people who could basically recognize any player from the 80's on, and most before that, but their are some names here Ive NEVER heard. I understand that these could be guys who the juice didnt work well for, and never made it to the majors but were linked anyway, but its an interesting theory, especially with some of the names that I would expect to be no brainers that didnt make their way on the list, like Sosa, Aubrey Huff, or Albert Belle.
  7. Thank you. Let's go with the confirmed list. Hmm, 2 players that the O's couldnt get rid of soon enough. Good thing we didnt mortgage the farm for Roberts, and I doubt that Aubrey Huff can be too far behind.
  8. Smart move O's, moving Miggy a day before the Mitchell report comes out.
  9. The problem is, the Dodgers and O's are giving up top stars or top prospects and the Cubs are essentially giving up scraps.
  10. Sounds like the CUbs and Pads are neck and neck. Maybe we should offer some forgotten Japanese player a minor league deal to hope it will lure him over. Shingo Takatsu or Hideki Irabu looking for work?
  11. Hes a great player and one of the better backstops in the league, but hardly the type of player thats going to move the Natspos into contention any time soon.
  12. According to MLB.com, the Cubs could offer him a deal similar to that that was given to Soriano. I just hope that this doesnt blow up in Hendrys face. I guess we'll have to see what happens.
  13. Im just hoping against hope that Hendry can resist the temptation.
  14. Id be pissed if I were him. Hed gone the majority of his career as a sub, putting up mediocre at best stats. Finally, Texas gives him a shot at being a full time starter, and he proves he could do it and be an asset to his team, and it nets him a nice contract. Now, they're talking about sending him back to square one? A lot of lesser players would be demanding a trade. Still, I really dont see the Roberts trade happening, so it will be all moot.
  15. A dominating pitching staff is key, but as the Padres proved last year, you still need some help from your offense.
  16. We dont have a prospect close to Cain or Lincom. Most teams would never consider trading either of these guys, but when your looking at the possibility of Ray Durham, Randy Winn, and Rich Aurilia as your 3-4-5, desperate times call for desperate measures. But what would be the point? Rios is not going to make them any better than they are now. That team is a mess. Anythings an upgrade over what they have now. a bunch of 30 somethings who would be number 6 or 7 batters on most teams. Rios is at least young enough that he could be the first piece in a building process in a division in which no one team is in a position to dominate indefinitely.

  18. basically hendry needs to throw him a massive offer that the Pads cant match and then send them Murton as a consolation prize.
  19. Id heard alot about Ibanez arly on, but nothing as of late. With all of the Rowand and Bradley, I assumed that wasnt going to happen.
  20. So at this point, are the options down to either Fukodome or another Burnitz(IE Geoff Jenkins, Luis Gonzales)?
  21. But not as much as Hendry loves middle infielders. I have a theory that you are Tim's second account, used to drive people to buy premium. Um...yup.
  22. By greatest trades they must mean most impactful for one team, as many of these were pretty one sided. In that case, Ramirez to the Cubs should get some consideration. Itd also interesting that The "Lo Duca" trade isnt refered to as the Penny trade, as Penny ended up having much more impact on the Dodgers than LoDuca did for the Fish.
