See, I get why they have the rule. But it sucks for guys that were actually hurt or missed time before the break. I know Toews only missed one period but still. I look at it as a good opportunity to get him rest. If he wasn't forced to sit down he wouldn't do it.

5th starter isn't a position he's a starting pitcher. He's the 5th best starting pitcher. He does not need to be nor should he be held to the same standard as the 1st best or 2nd best starting pitchers. This shouldn't be difficult to grasp. no he's a starting pitcher. He's held to the standard of other starting pitchers, not other 5th starters. He should be judged against all starting pitchers.

Struck me as odd too. I believe those get added on as the spring moves along and they see when/where they can fit them in and who needs to get guys extra work. this was in a release from last year, and the schedule looks like they had four total split squads, and those vegas game created 2 days of split squad. -

Around here, it seems like everyone eats huevos rancheros or breakfast burritos. As for the topic, I don't think you can go wrong with any of the three, but I'd choose french toast if pressed. Breakfast food is just generally awesome. it really is we shouldn't fight over this, lets be more inclusive I always picture the sweets when going out to breakfast but end up ordering something egg based.
