    that's not true at all. I invented the current format. if they add 2 more teams they probably need to do something. But just deciding to make the AL all eastern time zone teams and everybody else the nl is freaking dumb.

    Good but all it really means is that we won't be losing Alshon for nothing right? They could still trade him, or of course come to a long term agreement. the price for signing a franchise free agent is so steep that I can't imagine anybody coming close to it for a receiver as questionable as Alshon.

    Yeah. We've really only given up Castro and some draft picks. It would be nice if we could package some hitting prospects for SP prospects or something, drum up some excitement from the pitching side of things, but I have faith we'll add more pitching when the deal makes sense for us. They've pretty much promoted all their big chips to the major leagues, and with the exception of Soler and Baez, don't really have impact trade pieces.
