    I might be in the minority, but I wish they wouldn't have done this. That home run was amazing, but it was also one of 6 that day in a non-clinching NLDS win in a season that ended in the NLCS. No need for it to be there permanently. concur.

    The Devils also had cheerleaders, but they are fairly pointless and no longer exist. Not sure why they should have flown out the parents, it's not like it was some huge achievement.

    I don't know, but I do know this happens a lot. I think it is a matter of not making gm the move until you have to. As long as they don't have a need for that roster spot today, there is no need to put schwarber on 60 day. I've seen it with pitchers who have had obvious season ending situations. They go on 60 day eventually, but not immediately, unless they need the spot ASAP.
