  1. They got a big money TE and WR. Burton is very "slotty". I wouldn't be surprised if they are done with skill position guys and lookin for defense now. They view Meredith, Shaheen, Cohen, Howard and White as more than enough to go along with the big $ guys. They also need OL help. Probably draft a skill guy in the first four picks.
  2. What are their options besides keep him or cut him? They could try to trade him but I doubt he'd get anything all that great. Would rather just give him one more shot to show something and stay healthy and cut him when he inevitably gets hurt (or let him go in FA). i believe his contract is very unfavorable for cutting purposes, as its fully guaranteed. No real point not to just let him try one last time.
  3. I knew it existed and thought it looked like some Becker spinoff after accidentally running across it in one of those "the tv was on cbs while I watched something on the DVR situations."
  4. OF COURSE JAKE WRITES HIS LETTER IN ALL CAPS ON THE SAME NIGHT TRUMP TRIED TO RAGE TWEET ABOUT RUSSIAN COLLUSION
  5. You don't have to project to 92 wins to be very competitive. 85 can win divisions and above .500 means you are playing meaningful games all season long.
  6. The rumored extension the Cubs were offering was probably worth more than what he is receiving from the Phillies. Yeah, Boras and Arrieta messed up and are probably pissed about what happened. I don't think I'd be results oriented on this. It was probably the right move at the time, even if it didn't work out. maybe you're right, but a guy who more or less came out of nowhere probably should have been more self aware about short shelf life of pitchers and his inevitable return to earth.
  7. Sentence needed a reference to his back.
  8. Also win now in NFL terms can be anywhere. even Chicago? Yes. They aren't going 16-0. But there's no reason they can't be a 10-6 team.
  9. Not really, no He's not somebody you pass up drafting a qb for. They'll still take one.
  10. Sherman isn't coming to the Bears, he wants to win now. I'd rather draft one of the CB's in the top 10 anyways. Guy who wants to win now is taking his 1st visit to the 49ers, who may be his last visit, being that it's near his hometown, near where he went to college, and has a DC he's familiar with from his Seahawks days. Also win now in NFL terms can be anywhere.
  11. It's certainly not good, I gave up Facebook a few months back and even then it's way harder to get onto a TV than other options. But it's not unprecedented, and it's also only wednesday afternoon games, so I'm not exactly going to be treating as appointment TV either. thats when I'm not working at my desk, perfect viewing time.
  12. fine? No, that awful. If I pay for the season I should get the season. No different than Sunday Night Baseball or certain Fox Saturday games. It's also the same frequency and volume as Sunday Night Baseball. You'd have a point if it replaced those, but it is in addition to those annoyances. And using a platform I have no interest in using.
  13. fine? No, that awful. If I pay for the season I should get the season. You're still getting the game old man. I'll be dead before I log on to Facebook, sonny boy.
  14. The Cubs probably won't be involved in more than a couple of these, though, and it's not like you have to pay for them, so I guess it's fine. fine? No, that awful. If I pay for the season I should get the season.
