This would be awesome. They let the Cubs do it one time last year, so maybe...? Also I know for a fact the Cubs got approval from the city for ten concerts this year but then only hosted nine. They should use that when they ask for an extra night game, especially as an average Cubs night game draws less people to the neighborhood and makes a lot less noise than a concert. Last I heard they were asking MLB if they could reschedule to later in afternoon, it's not about the city. -

this would be better. If we have won the division we can just send a B league roster to DC to play the game (or forfeit) and if we are out of it, we can make these chumps play the Nats out of spite. also, has any professional team actually forfeited a game? Can it happen? He's saying this Thursday's game is still on in DC.

The mayor of DC just declared a state of emergency for the DC region. But game is still on currently. Gotta make sure the Cubs drag their tired carcasses to Washington to play a game in a hurricane. "If Wake Forest can play football at 5:30 then the Cubs can play in DC at 4." MLB - probably.

If he's legitimately bad, he'll be out of a job by December. If he's mediocre, he'll still get this year, and there will be a QB competition with Daniel next summer, and then Pace will be fired after the 2020 season, and a new GM will come in and be given a year to make it work with Nagy, using the 2021 First Round pick on a QB. This will be Nagy's last chance for an extension. So let's hope Mitch is good. Because bad Mitch will result in 3+ years of awful football with no hope for turnaround. -

Joe is known for keeping players healthy? How does a manager keep players healthy? How is Joe at all to blame for anybody's health? He's done quite a bit to keep people fresh, with the possible exception of overworking a bullpen arm or two. He can't help it if dudes get banged up.

I think Cubs twitter is going a little crazy about this weather situation. The hurricane will be well off the coast of NC thursday. It's going to be okay during the day on thursday in DC. The game should get in relatively easily.

In honor of 9/11 week the jet fuel doesn't melt steel beams coach brings his Seahawks into Chicago for their 2nd straight road game to open the season, after looking rather bleh against Denver. This was chalked up as a likely loss in the offseason, but the Bears are 3 point favorites based on one half of surprisingly good football in GB. Chicago will be in primetime again, and will need to do something early to avoid the boo birds coming out in full effect. There's still hope for a decent season, but an 0-2 start is going to put the kibosh on realistic playoff hopes.

Rodgers was going to drive for a td anyway. They lucked out by giving it up so early and leaving mitch with plenty of time. He just failed. -
