  1. but don't you get it? He was playing a character that was a self absorbed white method actor who was playing a black man in a movie within the movie, man.
  2. he had a 50% completion percentage, 2 picks and 2 more shoulda been picks. Correct. And in his *bad* game, against Belichick, he was still responsible for 400 yards and more TDs than turnovers. It doesn't matter though because Mack is permanently broken and everything is ruined forever. Are you under the impression that yardage and scoring is hard to come by against the Patriots?
  3. My vague recollection of that play is they rushed it, trying to get the snap off early, which I assume had more to do with the penalty than "crazy formations" being at fault. I really want to know why they ever run the ball out of the end zone and why they couldn't kick into the end zone. Those two things alone could have reversed the score.

  5. Back to back Sunday nooners on CBS, I feel like it's 1987 again. The Bears are somehow 6.5 point favorites right now, but risk going down 0-3 to the AFC East. The Jets have been held to under 20 points 4 times this year, but they've also scored 40+ twice, and have another 34 point game under their belt. Which Bears defense is going to show up? Will Mack be able to play? All I know is Mitch needs to shave that wispy faux-stache if he wants to take a step forward as QB.
  6. Tampa needs another cup before entering the discussion
  7. Just quote me man. And I didn't "blame" the playcalling. I just said it's not helping. It obviously is helping a lot. The plays are there. The receivers are open, and Mitch keeps missing.
  8. The point is that chalking this loss up as expected and Not that bad since we all thought this team was mediocre in August is not a good way to judge a team that has to win with what they already have. They aren't getting more talent. This is the team they have to win with now. Mack is worth the trade, but you still have to win games and their qb was trash today. It's so weird that you keep pushing this "Trubisky is terrible" agenda, when you were one of the most vocal Cutler supporters on this board. If Trubisky continues along the same terrible plane he's been on this season, he finishes better than Cutler across the board statistically. mitch had more talent and better coaching around him than cutler ever had
  9. It's crazy to me that people blame play calling for the Bears struggles. Time and time again a play is there and mitch misses by yards. And it's the play calling?

  11. Trading away firsts to come up short of the playoffs is absolutely unacceptable. 8 wins is a bad season.
  12. Where are three more wins in this schedule?
  13. Mitch is bad at his job. He's terribly inaccurate and dumb.
  14. Depends how much input the Ricketts get. I could see them wanting a Girardi type if things go south. I doubt they want to impose a more expensive name manager in Theo, if that isn't the guy Theo wants.

  17. fwiw two of the fewest have played fewer games than most of the rest.
  18. not sure if serious, but the point is to give the receiver an opportunity to make a play. the same reason QBs handoff to running backs behind the line of scrimmage despite seemingly wanting them to run beyond it.
  19. While funny that the cards have to go through the rigamarole of sending Wainwright through free agency, this seems like something both GM's and agents should have been well aware of. The Astros database had no such language
