  1. I think one of the former head coaches that came up as a hot DC candidate would be real helpful here. The Bears coaching staff proved themselves well this year, but it's still light on NFL experience. You have to wonder if Fangio will steal Donatell or any other defensive assistants.
  2. I don’t get why people take sides with the owners. I don't get why people attack owners like the Ricketts who are going to spend $220 million on their baseball team this year, the most in the National League. They don't have unlimited money to spend on this team, it's a business. They're not going to hire you.
  3. guys are staying active
  4. Bears opponents were 22-22 on XP and 25/26 on FG, with the lone miss in the 40-49 category. Opponents were 5-5 in 50+. Only Atlanta's opponents had a better FG percentage 22-22, although on XP their opponents were 41-44. Bears opponents were 5th last year and 1st last year (29-32) and 1st in 2016 (33-35).
  5. he had nothing to do with the trojans record this year

  7. [dropshadow=blue]ARENT HUMANS WONDERFUL CREATURES[/dropshadow] If he has anxiety that kept him out of the game, that’s fine. But I’m interested to know if he actually had a groin injury. He actually had a groin injury.

  9. The real weak point was Chase Daniel, if they had a competent backup QB they beat the Giants easily and have a bye in round 1.
  10. Packers hire a guy a lot of people wanted the Bears to hire
  11. I should gamble more often.
  12. No idea. I imagined a 3, or maybe that would require Howard plus a 5 or something.
  13. Howard looked like a pretty good fit the last few games... I'd be really curious if they could actually get trade value out of him though. Nagy clearly wants to spread the ball around to his various RB options. I wrote a sentence predicting a Howard trade in the initial post but deleted it because I didn't really convince myself. But I do have a feeling they will look into options.
  14. Well that was a depressing end. I have no idea what sort of moves they are likely to make this offseason. Very likely that the coaching staff will stay relatively stable. They don't have a 1st or 2nd round pick this year, so we're looking at depth players being targeted, and while they spent a ton on free agents this past year, they may have to be active again. We're probably at the point in the roster cycle where they will lose some guys that are pretty good.
  15. he's going to make like $12m this year, no way they can afford him.
