  2. It's still the only storyline that makes sense to me.

  4. I'll pick on David since he's far from the worst offender, but the uptick of people in the minor league forum loudly proclaiming how much they don't care about the minor leaguers(or worse, loudly claiming no one should) is weird. It's okay to like prospects even when the team is good, and even if there isn't a system full of Kris Bryants to follow. If that's not your thing that's fine, the entire forum is partitioned off for your benefit! active topics for life if the prospects were actually good i wouldn't call them dorks for now they are all dorks I think TT is conflating caring about with being excited about.
  5. All of this is true. It's also true that Bryant has reached that level in every season in which he was "fully" healthy and also was on pace to go well past 6 WAR last year before the injury. It's possible that the injury will limit the finish on his swing going forward and that his results dip as a result. But I'll take bets on the gap between his 2018 and 2019 more than offsetting the dip in Javy's, assuming KB and Javy each play in 145+ games. Any of you doom bonering people want to wager? There's more volatility in my javy expectations than bryant. I think Kris will be fine.
  6. I know this can't be true because nobody on this site loves themselves. add self-loathing to the list of things we know about jersey. we'll have your home address in no time, gary? I haven't been in Indiana in years
  7. I know this can't be true because nobody on this site loves themselves.
  8. I don't think that is the case. A lot of people are concerned that Bryant will never be the same because of the shoulder issue. He'll be healthy enough to play but not healthy enough to fulfill his destiny.
  9. I think people are expressing doubts about his health more than questioning how productive he can be when healthy.
  10. Did we not know weeks ago a Harper signing was financially impossible? Did you mean know in the biblical sense? Because that's a horsefeathering myth.
  11. yeah, i was curious too...figured maybe he's talking about the visitors side. can't find any article, though. he didn't say which sunday tribune. could have been from april 2016

  13. A thing that never existed could never end.
  14. theo was not needed
  15. Why do you want the Dodgers to get a discount on him? To keep ticket prices lower
  16. horsefeathers off, maybe the commissioner just hated your stupid face. also the mayor of chicago should not have to go lower himself in front of mlb to get a stupid all-star game. all you ever read is that everyone wildly overestimates how much money an event like the super bowl brings to a host city and that is the SUPER BOWL. the mlb all star game isn’t even popular with people who like baseball. I guess the slogan "Come for the all star game, stayed because you got murdered" wasn't catchy enough. Did you think this was funny in your head? No.
  17. Funding the opponent’s roster to own the (people that weigh lots of) lbs.
  18. I liked your joke better before the edit
  19. Little (bullpen help) in the middle (innings) but she ([Theo]) got much ([one]) Brach
  20. seems like he walks quite a few guys, so he'll be perfect to come in to replace Chatwood after he walks the bases loaded in long relief
  21. And is no contest the best closer in MLB history. There are discussions about who the best player was at each MLB position throughout history. Not so for closer. Closer is not a position. Its like lead-off man or clean up hitter. Ricky Henderson was the best Lead off man ever without question. So I am not sure your argument is valid. Can't wait for the first Super Utility Man to be enshrined!
  22. I was actually thinking the opposite. Looking at all those names that possibly just might be capable ML pitchers in flashes, it seems clear that Theo’s Plan is coming to fruition. That’s wave after wave
