  1. He’s lost the room quicker than Trestman did, which is amazing.
  2. Dollar dollar bill y’all
  3. Jesus Christ man. Stop. He was a highly touted prospect who has looked bad to start his career. Just stop with the nonsense.
  4. On the one hand he’s one of only two starting caliber skill position players on the offense. On the other hand, he’s an RB and the offense has been complete trash while in his prime. He might not get much of an offer elsewhere. Unless there’s a quality offense out that that is a capable RB away from greatness.
  5. On par with how they set up this season for Fields. It’s like they want him to learn how to take a sack without fumbling and when to throw it away. Then next year they can work on advancing the ball down the field.
  6. It’s cool because it was the one thing I remembered from a stats class because our vaguely European (maybe French) prof always referred to him as Baby Ruth.
  7. It's one of those things that might be down the list of concerns now. But it will drive people insane in the context of a season where expectations are much higher. That isn’t down the list, it’s top 3 for a head coach. Hire good staff, keep players engaged, and properly manage the game. He’s failed miserably in this capacity.
  8. competent personnel? How much competency does one need in order to stand in someone's way in order to let another person run by? To do it wiIthout a penalty being called? Quite a bit.
  9. Short passing is always there. Not always the way the Bears are doing it, but with a team that can run the ball like they can, the run action should open up quick hitters. Granted, Fields has struggled reading the defense on RPOs and so forth, but it can be done. Plus, in tight coverage, you can pick guys off to free up receivers. It could be combo of Getsy not doing it or Fields not seeing it fast enough, though. Short passing is always there for teams with talent at receiver. The bears are bottom of the barrel at receiver. The 1 guy they have is not a short threat. They don’t have anybody they can rely on for 4-6 yard gains over and over.
  10. it is unreasonable to expect a 2nd year qb in a new system with no talent around him and a coaching staff determined to not try, to elevate the offense around him. Fields had an impossible task that maybe only a HOF vet would be capable of achieving.
  11. They were top 10 every year in D, I'm pretty sure. He's fine overall and certainly was well qualified. so why does he suck ass Because he can afford to lose. He’s got a book ful of excuses why he can’t succeed and a bunch of idiots willing to blame the previous guy. He’s got three years before he needs to win something
  12. This defense is trash, a bears caliber 10 man wildcat is going to drive down the field and put the game away.
  13. I think the holding penalty is better than taking the ball on the 5
  14. Listened to first half on radio driving through terrible rain. Everything south of MetLife is soaking wet. Giants announcers are very much not homers. Deferential toward the bears and almost assuming fields will have an amazing play at any moment.
  15. I get the sentiment but does anybody really think a 3rd round rookie receiver who has barely practiced with this team is going to make a difference anytime soon? I don't see him doing anything besides endarounds and WR screens and the occasional quick slants. I guess though, the best thing that comes from that is some easy throws/yardage for Fields, which would make a pretty solid difference in how this offense feels.
  16. Rough year to put up those numbers when someone else is chasing the Triple Crown Not just the Triple Crown, but the non-steroid (as far as we know) home run record too. theres no such thing
