    Playoff Rosters: Playoff rosters must be set at 25, not including disabled players, on August 31. For each player on the 60-day DL, teams may add players to the eligible list during the playoffs at the same position, provided that they were in the orginization on August 31. This is why some teams will bring up injured minor-league players and put them on the 60-day DL. Teams must choose 25 players from their playoff eligible list before each round of the playoffs. i got this from the "baseball glossary"... so...whoever is on our 25 man now is who our playoff roster is barring injuries? what makes up our "playoff eligible list" is that the 40 man?

    If this already has a topic...i am sorry...go ahead and lock this...but i didn't see one anywhere else... so, when are we going to find out who exactly is on the 25 man potential playoff roster...didn't it have to be decided by 12 last night?

    after thinking about this trade for a little bit now... i quite like it actually...for as much bashing as hendry receives...i think he has done an exceptional job this season...barring the barrett trade...which really was just a dump trade, or at least it severely appears so...but...so be it... i like the additions he has added and i think with these additions he has set this club up to make a run in every possible facet... kudos hendry...sometimes you make me mad...but...you definitely deserve a "job well done" this season my man!

    Which is exactly why he shouldn't be hitting leadoff when he returns. He should be put in the 5-hole and left there. There's absolutely no reason for him to be hitting leadoff, especially if he's not going to be stealing any bases for us down the stretch. exactly...exactly...exactly completely logically...i have been saying it since he got injured...

    i haven't posted in a game thread in a while hopefully i bring some good mojo...my shifter went in my car yesterday...and the cubs lost...i need some good cub mojo to make me at least smile a little bit since i am sort of in a stinky pickle right now

    in my opinion he is a lilly-esque type addition and would be moving from AL Central to the NL Central on paper...it looks very promising to me...especially as a late season addition for the playoff push i would certainly be more excited than i am about monroe

    awesome!!! fielder serves his two game suspension today and tomorrow hopefully that will aid the giants in handing them two losses... i still don't really think this diamondbacks team is that good...they kind of remind me of atlanta...i just think both teams are suspect... their hot streak will end with the cubs sweeping them into a desert cave

    honestly, i would be super pumped if we landed Silva...he, in all honesty, would be a very nice addition to this staff...and would probably do a little bit better in the NL

    i am pretty sure his last outing was his best of the season... he has been progressively getting better... and he is a second half pitcher who knows?
