yep, if we add a pitcher to slot into the 4 spot ahead of marquis...that would be lovely... if we get a pitcher to slot into the 3 slot ahead of hill and marquis...color me very excited for the upcoming season -

Neh. You always have to look at the dollars and what makes sense. Get the guy here, but don't hamstring us even further. We're already carrying some contracts that hurt, or are likely to start hurting. yeah, but our current window is small...we have to give it a go

Most definitely, it could be but, I'm beyond the point of caring about the economic ramifications, I’d like to see Cub WS in my lifetime, if this signing gets the Cubs there costs be damned. yes yes and more yes

Cubs need offensive help much more than they need 5th starter help. i don't necessarily disagree, but are you honestly confident in the starting rotation right now? fukudome isn't going to win games all by his little old self you know Neither is Silva. And yes, I am confident in all the resources the Cubs currently have available to fill out the rotation. all i am saying is that silva moving from the AL to the NL is going to be loads better than dempster in the rotation...why not make a push for that and then see if we could swing some sort of hamilton deal instead...

so, instead of being stupid and throwing all of this money at this guy... why don't we go after another starter...oh i don't know...silva...and make it so marquis and not dempster is our number 5 man... then we can keep murton and just go with pie... because to spend all of this money on an unknown and go into the season with the rotation we currently have is not going to work...

I really wish I could believe you were joking. This is why the Patriots have to be stopped, by whatever means necessary. i am not a huge fan of the patriots or anything, but i love to see history being made right before my eyes... i am rooting hard for the pats to go 16-0 and the dolphins to crash at 0-16 that is a fantastic season if you ask me Right now, they haven't done that. Don't call me when you're in my town. Call me when you're on my block and I see ya next door when you're moving your furniture in. That's when I know you're going to the championship to play. And if you win it I'll be dressed up in a tuxedo waiting on my bride. is this a reference to something because i am not getting it
