  1. 6 scoreless for the Braves today
  2. He left because he was hit on the head with a pitch per twitter.
  3. He looks fine to me, I haven't seen anything out of the ordinary.
  4. I know nothing about intercostal sprains, sounds like a surfing injury. Where is the intercostal? I strained my intercostal muscle last year. It was indeed a suffering injury. It's damn near crippling. I could barely move any parts of my body without feeling some of the sharpest pain I've ever felt. I strained it whilst moving a couch into my office, and then I had to sit and do work the rest of the day and then drive home, and believe me, contorting your body to get in and out of a car with an intercostal strain is not easy. Easily some of the most pain I've ever experienced. Learned something new thanks for the info.

  6. hey, only 1 K is a good day for brett. in other news, doug davis started the game for omaha... guy is going to hang around forever. He has to be 52
  7. Yeah that seemed like a lot to give up for the 2 of them and a couple lesser prospects.
  8. What if we were to work out a trade with the Tigers. Tigers get Matt Garza, Darwin Barney, Bryan LaHair, and either Junior Lake or Josh Vitters and Cubs get Nick Castellanos, Jacob Turner, and a couple of prospects not in the top Tigers top 10. Maybe like two or three of Adam Wilk, Alex Burgos, Josue Carreno, Kyle Ryan, Eugenio Suarez or Matt Hoffman. I know thats kind of a blockbuster pie in the sky type deal and the Tigers supposedly have Castellanos as off limits. How does Castellanos defense at 3rd look? Saw this trade proposed somewhere else and it seemed intriguing. Im not all that sure its worth it and maybe we could get better pitching trading with someone else.
  9. Baez with a double and scores
  10. I'd appreciate these more if the copyright watermark didn't cover everything up Yeah, same here kinda sucks but I understand why he does it.
  11. Pics of Almora and Soler in Mesa: http://tinyurl.com/6sjoy3g
  12. I'm suspicious of Justin's health, gotta believe something's up with that shoulder when you look at those numbers. I'd rather not risk what it would take to get him only to find out he's damaged goods down the line.
  13. I know Dickey didn't get to start the game and all but I figured for sure he'd be the next guy in the game, wtf is wrong with Larussa. I guess it's working out so far though.
  14. Which is a damn shame since its the most interesting part of the boards.
  15. These were posted in the minor league forum about a week ago. pretty cool though.
  16. Wow yeah I was thinking he was still in high A.
  17. that's what I was thinking. Profar is still in A ball right? I was just dreaming but you never know.
  18. He's probably the #1 prospect in baseball at this point. No chance. Damn :(
  19. I don't suppose we could hope for Profar as part of a Garza package? I'm guessing he's untouchable?
  20. that is interesting. It is, I had no idea... very interesting. Vin Scully is awesome.
  21. Was it a slurve? It was his best offspeed pitch but probably what did in his arm. It was a sick, sick pitch though.
  22. Huh? "Cancer cells are stimulated to grow by testosterone." I think this doctor, posted on WebMD, makes it very clear that there are many causes of testosterone imbalance, and that only someone who knows all these factors should be just handing someone testosterone supplements. Prostate cancer is a side effect, and it is a very serious one. http://www.webmd.com/sex/video/testosterone-replacement-prostate-cancer Recent research indicates that low endogenous testosterone levels may present a greater risk for prostate cancer than higher levels (Morgantaler 2006, Rodman et al 2008). There's a great deal of research and study availible online about the value of normal levels of testosterone. Not really a subject I want to argue at great depth about on a Cubs message board. My suggestion would be if your really currious about it do your own research and ask your doctor. Testosterone replacement is a valuable and necessary treatment for a lot of older men these days.
  23. I remember someone wondering if James Pugliese still threw a knuckle ball. I asked him about it today, this is what he said: So I guess they told him no knuckleball
