  1. Reid Johnson = Damon Hollins and loved loved Damon Hollins for some reason.
  2. They want him to hit sub mendoza in peoria so they can say he was young for the level. If he hits sub 200 in boise he's a bust already.
  3. He does have trade value; he's a third baseman who hits for power and plays defense, and has the false aura of being a "clutch hitter" about him. For teams like the Dodgers and Giants who are without anything resembling a real third baseman, that has value. The punchline is that Crede doesn't have nearly the trade value that the White Sox think he does, because every other peripheral of his sorta sucks; weren't they asking for Cain or Lincecum from San Fran in exchange? A third basemen that's a career 446 slugging percentage is now considered a power hitter?
  4. Let's trade Jason Marquis for Marcus Giles.
  5. Where has Figgins talk been brought up lately? and secondly, why would they want someone like Pie when they have 18* different guys that could play CF? Also again just say no to coco crisp he isn't any good and boston wants the world for him.
  6. Are we basing this on what the nats did with him? An organization that thinks christian guzman is a quality SS? He might be horrible but I'll take my chances.
  7. I like spiezo's new tat. http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a30/Halman/Speizojail.jpg
  8. almost a standard 5x5 roto league but OBP replaced BA. Any ideas?
  9. Not a chance I'll let 'em get to me. I simply went to Theriot and told him what the numbers said and asked for his response. People don't see the interview process, but I hit him with stuff he didn't like. And unlike some of those people who like to analyze other people's work, my name goes on what I do. And I show up to face the people I write about. To be fair to Ken Tremendous, he did come out and reveal who he and the rest of their writers are about two weeks ago, even if he doesn't put his real name on every article like he should. Ken's shtick can only work on the internets right now, and he knows it. "Ken Tremendous (Michael Schur), Junior (Alan Yang), and dak (Dave King) are all TV writers. We live in Los Angeles, in places other than our mothers' basements. Please do not send e-mails to us about anything other than sports journalism." I thought Ken Tremendous was Mose Schrute? hate to be the one to break this to you, but, despite the documentary feel of the show, the office isn't real. It's real to me, dag nabbit. http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a30/Halman/Cryingfan.jpg

  11. usually cub-killers suck. trot doesn't suck. What is things some would say when the Cubs signed Troy O'Leary? Trot = washed up
  12. Appreciate the news, but you have like 6 topics out there with things you've seen and heard yet you make no mention of where you heard the info. Can you provide a link or source? Thanks Hilarious
  13. Soto Gallagher Ceda Colvin Epatt Donaldson Veal Holliman Hernadez Thomas I didn't list Vitters because I have a opinion that he has a 99.9% certainty that he will bust.
  14. *post containing whine about hendry sucking and demand the cubs rather trade for Juan Rivera and move Fukudome to CF*
  15. No, just [expletive]. Did we all forget his craigslist escapade? Dude is a professional baseball player if he has to go to craigslist to pick up chicks that's [expletive].
  16. You are NSBB's best fluffer... aww, you're so sweet... be my valentine? http://i.emode.com/tests/candyheart/images/mine_s.gif Frankenstein?
  17. I'd rather get someone like Felipe Lopez over Eckstad
  18. That takes into account Roberts' not-going-to-happen-again 2005, and it doesn't really tell the whole story. Most of the guys who are better than him having been playing that long. Huh? He may never hit as many HRs like he did in 2005 but he did you know have 24 total WS last year. Compared to 28 in 2005. Weeks and Kendrick seriously call me when they actually live up to their top prospect label. One can't stay healthy and the other has been a relative bust.
  19. you realize people were suggesting if the cubs trade pie they should make a effort to go get Coco Crisp. I'm failing to see the connection. I was talking about Corey Patterson. uh both are 720-700 OPS defense first CFs.
  20. you realize people were suggesting if the cubs trade pie they should make a effort to go get Coco Crisp.
  21. Roberts is clearly available though, whereas there aren't any SS improvements over Theriot who are known to be on the market. We like to talk about Peralta and Greene, but there have been no indications that their teams want to trade them. correct
  22. Oh my god, he's an all-star! We have to get him! Mark Loretta, David Eckstein, and Mark Redman are all-stars too. Yeah and none of those guys would be considered a elite player for his position. Utley is the only player among 2nd basemen that has more total win shares than roberts in the past three years. Roberts is a elite player for 2B. I'm not saying he's not a good player, I'm just sick of people using the term "all-star" to qualify him as a good player. Read my above post. Anyways, Roberts wouldn't be in my top 3 choices for 2B's in all of baseball next season. I'd like to hear that list and B.J. Upton doesn't count since he's playing CF
