    LOL at the BCS. Alabama in the title game? Seriously? I think my favorite stat from the last day is that OKS has beaten two Top 10 teams while Alabama hasn't beaten any. What a [expletive] joke.

    EDIT: If you guys want, I can try to update rumors in this first post as I read them. I'm home studying for finals all day so I get bored and end up checking twitter every ten minutes. Feel free to make predictions, especially for our beloved Cubbies. Figured this might be a good place for all the crazy rumor swirling that will go on with multiple players. Hard not to be super excited this year. I don't think it's set in yet just how radically different our team will be in terms of names alone from the last 4-5 years. My predictions: Garza gets traded and the Cubs are heavily linked to one of Pujols/Fielder (more so than in recent weeks) but don't sign one of them until after the meetings.     My guess is that Dewitt is only part of what they want. Not the entire deal. That's what I'd hope the situation is.

    Seriously though, if this was actually presented to Hoyerstein, I have to believe that not accepting it means one of two things: 1.) Cubs are holding out hope for a better 3B, possibly Headley. 2.) DeWitt figures into their trade plans somewhere else. I'm going with the former.
