yeah, if they want VJ and are offering the same as the bears are, why would he pick washington? I really don't think they have any concept of how building a football team works there. It seriously comes off like they just look for players a casual football fan would recognize and then give them lots of money.

Also, putting VJax on the Skins would be kind of a waste, assuming they don't get Peyton or trade up in the draft.

Colston reeks of Muhsin Muhammad for me. Colston is a few years younger than Moose was when the Bears signed him, but Colston has had several knee surgeries. A 29-year old, with a knee history, coming from the most prolific passing offense of all time....I just think he's going to fail to live up to expectations. I'd rather go after Vincent Jackson, if the Bears are going after someone beyond 27. I wouldn't hate signing Colston, because it's obviously a huge need and he'd clearly be the best WR on the roster. But I wouldn't expect more than 2 solid years from him before he becomes overpaid. Although in defense of Moose, he had to deal with Bears QBs pre-Cutler

Any interest in Tolbert from SD? He's a pretty solid short yardage guy and pretty great at pass protection, iirc.
