  2. I think it's Wrigley Field Premium Ticket Services. edit: The Cubs own that resell company
  3. Chris, that came out yesterday but thanks just the same. :D
  4. I've noticed over the last few days that Rotoworld has been stealing posts, verbatim, from Foxsports.com. I got that RSS this morning from FS. Foxsorts.com
  5. The Cubs are still looking for their first hit.
  6. Cliff made ANOTHER error. Come on!
  7. Cliff making more errors in LF :x
  8. It's down until 4/2. RichHillisABeast has been clever enough to create the links using last season model (with the current date and team info).
  9. I'm pretty sure it's been established that Guzman, not Cherry, will be on the 25-man when camp breaks, unless there's some news that I am not privy to. Also, it has been established that Weurtz is going to make the team. The 25th spot is between the 2 angels (Pagan and Guzman) That's still up in the air as of yesterday... Tribune
  10. Ditto. Then again, if a healthy Mark Prior wants to get a longterm deal from any team, he'll have to have a big showing for the Cubs in 2008. Otherwise, he might be looking at a one year deal or a very low rate (relatively speaking) longterm contract--3years/$21M.
  11. The Opening Day lineup is better.
  12. He did pick the Cubs in the NLC. I'll give him credit for not holding a grudge.
  13. Bruce Miles / Daily Herald
  14. Bruce Miles / Daily Herald I love it!
  15. http://www.npr.org/programs/theride/aborstein/swan.jpg  In all seriousness, good for her. Her gender doesn't matter to me.
  16. FYI, BP's Nate Silver will be on the Mike Murphy show around 1pm CT Listen Live online
  17. That doesn't bode well for Prior's numbers.
  18. That's wishful thinking (especially with respect to today's outing). A few days ago we thought Prior had a small chance to win a spot in the rotation but that isn't reality right now. Marquis can't be traded before June 15, as such, he isn't going anywhere. In fact, an argument can be made that he won't be moved period (regardless of performance). If Marquis pitches poorly, no team will want to be saddled with his three year contract. If he pitches well, Hendry won't consider trading him--because he's "only" making $7M a year. If Prior is able to regain a spot in the rotation, in the future, it will most likely be at the expense of Wade Miller. If, IF, Miller pitches along the lines of his last outing and Prior improves, I don't give a flying crap how much Marquis cost. If Marquis sucks, and he likely will, and Miller and Prior are MUCH better, Marquis better become the expensive swing man. Yeah, it's bad he costs so much, but I'd prefer to go with talent as opposed to being led around by the pocketbook. Swing man is a possibility. I was responding to the idea that Marquis would be shipped out.
  19. They can't put him on the DL if he insists he's healthy (which he's been saying repeatedly all ST). Unless he comes up with some last minute injury, he's going to AAA. He's not going to pitch in the bullpen so I don't see how he could take Guzman's spot (assuming he makes the team). AAA is not a bad thing. When he's right, he'll be completely dominating that league and the Cubs will be forced to bring him back.
  20. So you're saying that Lou didn't really mean that Wade Miller was going to be his 5th starter? Seriously, I love Mark Prior but he hasn't earned the spot. I hope he gets himself together to help the team later in the year. Lou can't manage on hopes.
