  1. Ya bringing in Brown as a cheap 3rd DE seems like a no-brainer. Wootton hasn't gotten back to the field yet and I haven't heard a thing about the other DE's on the roster.
  2. Yeah not sure how Jackson fell to me. I actually ended up picking 7th in a snake draft, so I picked Steven Jackson in the late 3rd. In fact he wasn't the only RB to fall way too far. Forte was there in the 4th round (he was ranked way too low in ESPN rankings and people were going off that I'm guessing) and I'm pretty sure I screwed up there because I took Vincent Jackson knowing I had 2 RBs and no WR's yet. And the WR picks were getting thin already. But Forte is a lock to score more points and there's 3 starting RB spots. So, how dumb was this? Should I put off WR every time in a situation like that? I have a lot to learn about fantasy.
  3. This is what I ended up with in a 10 team league. QB Mike Vick RB Rashard Mendenhall RB Steven Jackson RB/WR Jonathon Stewart WR Vincent Jackson WR Austin Collie TE Dallas Clark D Eagles K Garrett Hartley (saints) BE Pierre Garcon Jay Cutler Mark Ingram Santana Moss Brandon Jacobs James Jones Todd Heap
  4. If he would just stop dropping balls then I have to believe he's a better red zone threat than Devin Hester. Btw. The red-zone offense is going to absolutely blow again. Hopefully Cutler doesn't throw as many picks and we get to witness the glory of Gould again and again.
  5. I keep holding on to my irrational hope that Roy will have a good season. He's going to come out in this 3rd game and catch everything semi-close to him.
  6. I'm not sure what you are trying to say there. Those guys are all long gone. Collins just retired in July. Equally unworthy comps? Yes. It is important not to underscore how bad Painter is though. I've been a Bears fan for life and I know that Painter would have fit right in with those atrocities. The Colts have a lot of weapons on offense, much more than those Bears teams ever had, and he still can't complete a forward pass.
  7. Curtis Painter is so unbelievably unworthy of being in the NFL that almost any warm bodied retread would be an upgrade.
  8. Incredibly happy about the Bears line last night. If only there could be a TE on Webb's side every play though. He is and will continue to be the main thorn in the side of the offensive line. Once again the WR I'm most confident in is Earl Bennett. Not worried about the D or special teams in the slightest. I do fear Major Wright will give up some big plays though that could cost them a game.
  9. Welp, this shall be an interesting night. I bet Webb has his intensity back.
  10. Obviously Cash can't be slotted in the rotation and pitch 200 innings next year. What do you do with him? He's likely gonna pitch in winter league right? Let him start for a while then put him in the bullpen?
  11. 5) Fire Quade 6) Don't lower the MLB payroll 7) Keep the troughs
  12. Quade is the lamest duck imaginable
  13. So when do all the supposed Hendry loyalists start jumping ship?
  14. Rick Hahn
  15. This should be a NSBB holiday. And we shall celebrate every anniversary thereafter With cake.
  16. Absolutely not. We have waited long enough.
  17. Unless he teabags Hendry in public I can't be sure
  18. Between the draft and giving Hendry the boot, Ricketts is in God tier right now
  19. I already did
  20. Ohhhhh what a glorious day
  21. It's certainly not good to hear. But he should be in shape by the time the season starts and he has to play a full game. Make him play a lot in game 4 of the preseason if necessary.
  22. The LT position is going to destroy them this season. I wonder if signing McKinnie or Max Starks and forcing them to live on a treadmill could have helped. Webb is still too raw. If Tice makes this work this season then he's a miracle worker, indubitably. I would put Carimi on the left side now and let him work through it. He did just spend the last 4 years there. And a move to RT in the NFL will be easy for him whenever it happens. Barring that, they better draft a LT in the 1st round next year.
  23. Inevitable, but still good to see. Supposedly Louis isn't even on the practice field
