Considering Philly has only 1 SOG in 3 PPs - and unfortunately that one shot contributed to their goal - but I'd say 1 SOG in 4.5 to 5 minutes of PP time for the Flyers is not "atrocious PKing". perfect example of why SOG doesn't tell you anything So you'd be alright with it being 3-1 Philly, as long as the 'Hawks looked better on the penalty kill, IYO? I guess I just fail to see how 1 SOG in 5 minutes of PP time - that was only netted on the rebound by a surprised Hartnell that was sitting in front of the crease- makes a person so unhappy about Chicago's defensive efforts during PHI's power plays. Granted, my hockey knowledge is lacking, but I thought the first two PK opps by the Blackhawks were very good. Not perfect by any means, but no shots in 4 minutes of PP time is doing OK. Them missing the net or not making the right pass does not mean the Hawks PK was great. They had time and space and had opportunities. The PK has been poor all series. Not gonna argue, as I have no knowledgeable base to stand from; but hey, if Leighton is gonna get as lucky as he has been (so far) on his home ice, I'll settle for some good luck going Niemi and Chicago's way by the Flyers not capitalizing correctly in favorable situations.
