  1. Hmm. :-k Wasn't aware that scoring a, very likely, GWing goal by the US was considered a "foul" by FIFA and its rulebook. Learn something new every day I guess.
  2. I'd like to see that. Couldn't get ESPN3 to work in office. They did a post-match interview with Bradley, and that's what he said, twice. "We were just trying to get clarification on why the goal was waved off. Nobody knows." fwiw, online stats currently credit USA with 0 offsides for the match. I'm extremely curious to see if an explanation is given. I'm guessing they'll fall back on some ticky-tack thing off the ball. Agreed, one of those "holding happens on every play in the NFL" type things. If that's the case, watch that replay a couple more times and look specifically for Bradley and Altidore in that sequence. If those aren't considered 'holding' - especially in Bradley's case - I don't know what the [expletive] is. In fact, Bradley should kinda thank the guy fouling him on the play; if not for the Slov holding onto Bradley like his life depended on it, Bradley might have slipped offsides - he was looking like he was nearly so even with the Slov all over him.

  4. Haha. Nobody even know WHAT the call was on the disallowed goal. It was just called off.
  5. Well, 2-2 draw after the first half - can't complain really. But to be screwed out of the 3 points by a VERY [expletive] call is just soooo hard to take.
  6. I thought the yellow was a reasonable call. But a U.S. player got a yellow for a "handball" that hit him in the chest. Forgot that one. Hit him in the face/neck and bounces off immediately, but gets called a 'handball'. Just horrible.
  7. Dempsey wipes himself out and face plants. Not pretty.
  8. So, just for review... - Yellow, instead of red, on Altidore's run to the box - Way too many either missed calls or calls that were HORRIBLE - Bradley held close and danced with, Altidore held, but winning goal disallowed by an either bogus offsides or even more bogus (& non-existent) US foul
  9. Gomez completely raped and no call. And Bradley, who might have been fairly close to being offsides, which he wasn't - was held and fouled. Completely [expletive]d!
  10. EFFING REF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU STUPID EFFER!!!!!!!!!
  11. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! Now don't [expletive] the bed and allow them to win this because you got distracted by the big goal!!
  12. I know 10 minutes [in soccer] can be a long time, but uh guys... time is running.
  13. Bad decision there by Altidore. Or just a really poor touch.
  14. And why was Altidore warned there? This ref is unbelievably bad. But at least he's finally calling the Slovs on [expletive] and their getting yellows like they should be. Actually, they should have 2 reds now, but gotta take what we can get.
  15. So, if that had of been called right, a red card, that means that the Slovs would have been a man down the rest of the match from that point on, right?
  16. Bad luck for Altidore/US there... very good strike, but right at the keep.
  17. FINALLY!!! About effing time they call one that you can't miss it.
  18. I'm not sure if you were talking about that specific guy, but he was spitting blood after that. Although I wouldn't be too surprised if they carried around food coloring to fake blood with. Hmm, I missed that in my red-hazed rant. But the point still stands.
  19. These Slov floppers and ridiculously anti-US ref are really pissing me off.
  20. If there is one thing I absolutely hate about soccer, its the faking of non-existent injuries. As great as the EPL/SA/B/main European leagues supposedly are, you see this stuff all the time. Nothing like seeing a guy get hit/kicked in the arm, but rolling around holding his face, while in "absolute agony".
  21. How was that NOT a foul on Altidore's look and was clearly tripped up on that!!?!? [expletive]!
  22. All these effing missed chances. Argh!!
  23. Finally! 2 more of those, while somehow keeping the Slovs off the board, and we got this. :good:
  24. Mother [expletive]! Welp, whatever little I had for this WC [thanks creator of vuvuzelas!] is about to go bye-bye.
  25. For the life of me, I couldn't figure out why my "fervor" for this WC isn't as strong as the '06 one in Germany, and I think I finally understand why that is. I can't stand to sit through 90+ minutes of all this stupid noise! If I never hear a vuvuzela(sp?) again - after this WC is over - I won't be likely to snap and go on a mass-murdering rampage. If only all those hornblowers would do this, :-$, my aural (& overall) enjoyment would increase at least minimally.
