  1. According to NHL.com, the Hawks have clinched the conference title. Sweet. =D>
  2. Well, CBJ did win - but in OT. So the Hawks are right at a frog's hair from the clinch mark, but unfortunately the Ducks are still mathematically alive for the #1 seed (unless the Blackhawks have the necessary tiebreaker on them, then the Hawks are already locked in as the 2013 Western Conference #1 seed).
  3. SIAP; but unless my math is off, the 'Hawks are either one W or one Ducks' L from locking up the Western Conference's #1, right? Hawks have played 42 games, @ 33-5-4 = 70 pts Ducks have played 42 games, @ 27-10-5 = 59 pts So that leaves both team with 6 games left in the reg. season. Even if ANA were to win each of its last 6, the most points they can end with would be [59 + 12 =] 71. So the Hawks just need to win one [or 2 OT losses] out of their last 6 to clinch - right? Unless the BlueJackets can steal one in Anaheim on Wednesday night... GO CBJ!
  4. Thanks. Duh. Shouldn't have needed to even ask.
  5. Back to the important matters - with the Bulls reaching 50 wins on the season, and the SAS being able to do no better - Chicago clinched HCA all the way through the Finals, right? Due to owning the tiebreaker vs the Spurs?? And idle curiousity; just what was used as the tiebreaking procedure between the two teams?
  6. Too late to wuss out now, Evan. And since when do fans have to be "professional"?? Didn't realize this was a business interaction. Doesn't change my stance on how I want the series and its ending to go, one little bit.
  7. I realize I am letting this affect me so much more than is healthy, but after seeing Turner's comments and then the '6ers intentionally rolling over and playing dead tonight, to make sure they face the Bulls... I was thinking it didn't matter who the Bulls faced in the first round, be it PHI/NY/(possibly ORL there for a few days), they were just in the way to the Bulls' march to the ECF and (*fingers crossed*/hopefully!!) the Finals; but I want blood now. Here's to hoping Chicago just utterly annihilate's Philly for 4 straight games, and at the end of the 4th domination - publically urinates all over what ever is left of their destroyed and desicated forms.
  8. Luongo throws a shutout as the 'Nucks take a 1-0 series lead on the Preds, ironically enough, with a 1-0 final.
  9. Its impossible for me to be impartial, so Bulls out of the East and (not really following the NBA all that closely) I'll go with the old [both recent and historical] stand-by, the Lakers, out of the West.
  10. Been paying more attention to other NBA scores/playoff stuff, and the NHL playoffs, than this game... but how the flip did the LAC blow a nearly 40-pt lead!? They were up by 30, seems like just a few minutes ago, and they only have a 4-pt lead with :05 left in the game.
  11. NM - wrong thread. #-o
  12. With a big 'thank you' to PHX, the Bulls are the #1 overall seed in the '11 NBA Playoffs.
  13. With a big 'thank you' to PHX, the Bulls are the #1 overall seed in the '11 NBA Playoffs.
  14. While I would never be happy about, or wish, a bad injury on someone; this is exactly what I just thought as well.
  15. Equating Ghana players falling down to the disallowed goals by Dempsey and Edu is just stupid. They're not even comparable. The refereeing hardly played a major role in today's outcome. Ricardo Clark's giveaway and our defense did. I know, most will feel that the US should never have needed ET, let alone stoppage time - and I know disallowing good goals is always the gold standard of 'getting screwed' in soccer - however, to say that there was only 3 and a half minutes worth of stoppage time between the two 15 minutes of extra time is a blatant show of favoritism to Ghana (the "home team"), when the ref never really tried to keep them from killing time.
  16. I know I'm just upset and only seeing things through RW&B glasses, but I find it most interesting that in each of the last 3 matches that the US played in this 2010 World Cup; there was at least one instance - (or repeating incidents [Ghana repeatedly killing time by just falling down without there being a US player within yards of them]) - where reffing played a major factor in the outcome. I'm not sayin', I'm just sayin' is all.
  17. Oh well, like I said. At least the US can finally stop taking it up the azz from these FIFAing refs.
  18. 3 minutes of stoppage time. Well, at least the ref was magnanimous. We got about a fifth of the time we should have.
  19. Twice now we get [expletive]d on a header attempt, but nothing called. US team will be coming home with ripped and bleeding anuses.
  20. Well, it'll be time for a Ghanaen to fall down on his own, if they don't score here - and waste more time that the ref won't hold them accountable for.
  21. Well [expetive]. That's that.
  22. Last big chance maybe.... cmon, dammit. Just to [expletive] these Ghaneens and ref.
  23. There should be at least 4 mins of stoppage time (so far), but we'll get at least maybe :30.
  24. THIS IS BULL [expletive] [expletive]!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  25. COME ON!!!!!!!!!!!!! COME ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
