  1. You're the best, Bruce! Thanks so much as always.
  2. http://elismlbrumors.com/ This site has been iffy in the past, but the dude claims he's at the hotel. He also says that they've been informed a press conference is scheduled at 12 (their time), but that eh doesn't think it's going to be anything significant. It's already past 12 in Las Vegas
  3. David O'Brien also spent weeks saying that Peavy to the Braves was as close to a done deal as it gets. Sounds like he might be Atlanta's version of Paul Sullivan
  4. Oops. Okay, yeah, they have Crawford in the AHL. I think he'd be a more than passable backup at this point. Yep. If a goalie is dealt---highly unlikely unless it's an offer that cannot be refused---then my money is on Niemi getting the call up over Crawford. To me Niemi was the reason why signig Huet was a mistake. Having seen both Crawford and Niemi extensively here in Rockford so far this year, there's no debate... Niemi is clearly the better netminder, and more deserving of a callup should it be warranted.
  5. Just down off the AP Wires.
  6. Should be a high scoring game, IMO. Forte should have a really nice day against the Packers run defense, while Rodgers should be able to shred apart the Bear pass defense. Can Rex/Orton make a few big plays through the air to make a difference? My gut feeling is that this will come down to a key turnover or a big special teams play. Devin Hester, it's your time. Bears 31-28
  7. It's stupid, but I'm enjoying hearing it over and over again. Song's called "Chelsea Dagger" by The Fratellis It might be annoying to hear on radio or tv, but trust me, it's really kinda fun when you're there and everyone's clapping, singing along, and dancing funny....especially when you do it 6 times in one night. I was at the game Sunday night, my first in almost 5 years... the atmosphere now is, in my opinion, the best since they first moved to the UC. Y'all need to get out and see it for yourself... and interestingly enough, tix for several games are going on Stubhub for as low as $7-8 a piece...
  8. Milwaukee Journal Sentinel says Macha's most likely the guy.... http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/brewers.html
  9. That's going to be a epic matchup! I'll be watching, that's for sure!
  10. When's the last time all 4 Divisional series started off 2-0, with the two teams with the best records in their respective leagues losing the first two at home?
  11. Wood stayed healthy all year??? What about that month-long stint on the DL?
  12. LOL... Why is it that I have a hard time remembering that.
  13. '84 Padres! That was the NLCS... and in any case... they played 3 in a row at home to come back.. It's not happening this year, folks
  14. Fake rally time... They'll score 3 this inning and then that's it for the rest of the game.
  15. I can't believe how TBS doesn't seem to think that there are no better options out there than Stockton... and Gwynn is worthless too.
  16. So much for the 1st inning momentum. Here comes the meltdown
  17. Sharp single to right to lead off the inning for LA
  18. Tony Gwynn doing his best Bill Walton.. "Who's gonna be the guy to step up?"
