  1. oh, it could definitely hurt Just like him playing at third cost us a bunch of games, right? Playing him at third, a position at which he has a decent amount of experience and the correct skillset to play at an even acceptable level is a completely different animal than putting him at second. I'd say he'd be about as successful at second as Geovany Soto.
  2. As someone who doesn't dislike Milton Bradley by any means, I'd rather have Fox playing and try to trade Milton. Doubt that's realistic however.
  3. The radio makes it sound like Hermida absolutely robbed Lee blind there. Accurate?
  4. Guzman's up. If he was available, why the hell wasn't he pitching?
  5. You know, I was really excited about getting Aaron Heilman. I thought he'd be a great addition to the bullpen. Oops.
  6. Have you ever listened to a Cubs broadcast before?
  7. Not much of an at bat there. Pick him up, Fox.
  8. ok psycho What's so psycho about it? Do you think Baker is losing any sleep over all the arms he's destroyed? What the hell else is a guy like Volquez going to do? For most these guys, baseball is all they have. If you really have to ask what's psychotic about the statement you made, you are truly psychotic.
  9. BA ranked him the #2 prospect in their system.
  10. I don't know where else to ask this, so I'll ask it here. I'm not hugely informed about the minors, so don't laugh at me. But I have to ask; what's so impressive about Jay Jackson that I'm missing? He's got an okay WHIP and okay strikeout totals to go with an okay ERA. So... what makes him valuable as something more than "okay?" Everything about him looks pedestrian to me.
  11. This thread is indeed a true winner (unlike Jim Hendry who is fat).
  12. I wouldve liked for the Cubs to make a play...
  13. If Washburn continues pitching like he has so far, he'll put them over the top in that division.
  14. I expect him on the roster tomorrow.
  15. You're not living up to your name. Cheating at a game does not make one a bad person. It simply doesn't.
  16. Something Wells has always done is get groundballs and keep his walks down. I don't think he's going to be outstanding, but what he's doing now is what he had done in the minors, he's just been luckier with it.
  17. The Dodgers are apparently in the lead for Halladay.
  18. According to MLBTR's twitter, he was just pulled from the lineup as a late scratch. I put that parenthetical note there for a reason, but I don't think it's at all out of the realm of possibilities that he's going somewhere.
  19. Not even a little bit surprising. Still, I like Ortiz quite a bit and I loved the idea that he was clean.
  20. I was just coming to post that. Stoney has become a bitter old mean, and that's putting it as nicely as I can.
  21. The other shoe is gonna drop with Kevin Hart eventually. I hope it's not today.
