  1. Fixed. I seriously doubt that one.
  2. If the rumors about the Cubs planning to trade him in the offseason are true, I'll be pretty pleased. It's at the point where it's pretty clear he deserves every bit of that negative reputation he brought with him.
  3. Yeah, that basically means you've given up I haven't given up just yet otherwise I wouldn't be on this board, but losses no longer completely ruin my day. You seriously haven't given up?
  4. The title led me to believe there was actually a report.
  5. I think an element of this team that was going to make it worse than last year's no matter what is simply that we couldn't have matched Jim Edmonds' production from last year. We were bound for regression by not having last year's mega season from him no matter what else we did.
  6. I'd say he's near the top. Soriano clearly tops it. But your biggest offseason acquisition disappointing in a big way is a significant problem. The fact that others make more than him is pretty meaningless. Most of those guys have been pretty damn good. Bradley is really picking up steam, and hopefully next year he'll be adapted to the team. The only guy who would be worth dumping would be Soriano. Thats 90 million over the next 5 years, and for that kind of money he should one of the top players in the game. Id be all for doing what the Blue Jays did with Rios and just send him through waivers and see if someone takes the bait. That money could go a long way. And there is literally no chance anyone would take it.
  7. I did a run by Kinnick Stadium yesterday and it got me reallllllly excited.
  8. Yep, I hope we knock his ass out. Nov 1st is going to be so un real. Is this the general feeling among Packers fans? How long will it take for these wounds to heal?
  9. It's always cool to see guys reunited with their old teams. Good stuff.
  10. I want him there too, but I assure you that the voters will not be moved by a petition no matter how many people sign it.
  11. It's nice to be important but it's more important to be nice!!!
  12. I dislike Miles more than I ever disliked Jose Macias. That's saying a lot.
  13. I completely forgot that Wade Miller exists.
  14. no. the payroll for next year is about $120M and they've already sunk a lot of money into long-term contracts with Z and dempster (plus lilly is still under contract in 2010). offer him arbitration and probably watch him walk. I'm of the opinion that Rich Harden is one of the top five pitchers in baseball when he's healthy. It'd be tough to swallow watching him go somewhere else.
  15. Is Cutler a team captain?
  16. You made me think of that.
  17. I hope he runs like a man though. He does. The guy has plus speed for a reason. Doesn't Pence have plus speed despite his stupid running?
  18. Listened to this one from Old Saybrook, Connecticut. Glad to see us turning it around some.
  19. That team had quite a bit of talent.
  20. To me it seems they are grooming Alan Trammell to be the next manager, and not Ryne Sandberg. Agreed. I don't see anyway that Trammell isn't the next manager whether Lou is gone after this year or the next.
  21. Hate to tell you, but he didn't suck last year. he actually did suck last year minus 4 weeks of hot hitting. Ok except he didn't.
  22. It's amazing how many people want this. So why do you think this would be a bad thing? Please give some legit reasons Plenty have been given.
