    I don't agree. Do these "paper champ" lineups ever work out as well as people think they will? Are the Detroit Tigers scoring 1000 runs yet? I mean seriously. Let's dig up the Miguel Cabrera thread trade where everyone handed them the World Series. If we could afford Holliday we'd be smarter to use those resources for pitching. Under no circumstances would I send Soriano back to 2nd. They might not work out as well as people think they will, but they're still almost always elite offenses.

    Considering Edmonds would've had a three run homer on most days, I can't blast his debut. That one at bat with the bases loaded was terrible though.

    As long as its not Lou doing the booing, he'll stay int he lineup I really get the impression from his PC yesterday that Lou isn't all that excited about this signing. I'd be stunned if Lou wasn't the one pushing for this.

    I'm not angry. It's just obvious they didn't need to call Hoffpair up when Edmonds fell into their laps. They stopped pursuing Byrd when Reed Johsnon fell into their laps too. I'm not trying to be mysterious either. I happen to be friendly with "people" and feel the stuff I put on this board is harmless, just like a reporter would. I'm suprised more people wouldn't be appreciative of the angles. But you're not a reporter. I could do the same thing you're doing.

So Dusty Baker was a good manager in '03? '03??? Seriously I dont care about that ... I want the cubs to finally win now... So if dusty was good or bad in 2003 means nothing to me now....
