  1. The horrors of tourists coming to Chicago and actually visiting a part of baseball history. I don't think anyone was intimidated, dude, just ignoring you while celebrating a Cubs win. A concept which seems foreign to a majority of Sox fans - celebrating your team's victory instead of rubbing it in your opponent's face. The thing is, most of these "tourists" are not tourists in the regular sense of the word i.e. "hey, the travel guide says we should go here, let's go to a game". They are just dedicated Cubs fans from other parts of the country. I am often part of a sizable portion of the Wrigley crowd that comes all the way from Iowa. And he thought they were intimidated? What the hell?
  2. I was in attendance and I'm definitely interested.
  3. I am not down for giving up Gallagher for well, anything short of an ace. I'm pretty confident he's going to develop into a very solid pitcher. ~115 ERA+ consistently type solid
  4. its nice that lou is really open minded about things. it seems like a lot of people in baseball are just stubborn and the exact opposite of him. It seems to me that keeping Fukudome in the five hole for as long as he has despite it being quite obvious he shuld be elsewhere is a sign that Lou is pretty stubborn himself.
  5. From bleedcubbieblue: To that regard, I have learned that the Cubs are working out Freddy Garcia in Mesa, to see if he's recovered well enough from his shoulder surgery a year ago to be useful.
  6. Which one would you be more willing to part with?
  7. Color me uninterested given what it would take. I'm very high on Gallagher at this point and I don't want to give him up.
  8. What he said.
  9. Eric Patterson?
  10. I'll be there praying for the sweep tomorrow.
  11. Need to get Woody up... just in case.
  12. Just stopping in to say... awesome!
  13. I'd love to have a healthy Harden, but there's no real indication that will consistently happen. I'm not as wild about this idea as most of you seem to be.
  14. It's extra sweet when it's against the White Sox.
  15. I'm calling this one; troll.
  16. If Z's out for the season, it doesn't even seem worth watching anymore.
  17. I assume we're attributing Marmol's bad outing to Lou destroying his arm, right?
  18. Then you aren't getting him. This is AJ Burnett, not CC Sabathia.
  19. Well it definitely wasn't a cramp. Z seemed like he wanted to pitch through it....but then again Prior probably pitched with a small tear in his shoulder for probably quite awhile. Ah, okay. I was just worried this might have involved Z falling to the ground in pain. Granted, it could still be serious, but at least there's reason for hope. Is there any word at all on how serious it might be?
  20. Okay, so I missed most of the end of the game, including Z's injury... did it look bad? Or was it one of the precautionary removals we've seen many times?
  21. Hm. I thought that was hit a lot higher. This game will probably come down to the 8th inning.
  22. Is it bad that I have far more faith in Theriot than D-Lee? A walk is the last thing I want here (other than an out, obviously).
