  1. Color me shocked that Aramis didn't swing at that.
  2. I'm trying to find a way to work a sham joke into here, but it's just not coming.
  3. That was unhittable. Nice piece of work, Kerry.
  4. Better question is why did he get out of the way? I think that alot when batters twist and turn to get out of the way, or back away from a slow curveball inside. I remember having a practice to specifically learn how to lean into a pitch. Our coach spent 2 hours chucking balls at us. I think he had a great time. Sounds like that hilarious video that was posted here a couple months ago.
  5. Uh oh. I've definitely got a bad feeling about this one.
  6. Just one more, Woody. You've got this.
  7. How the heck did he get out of the way?
  8. what a stupid overreaction It's a reaction to his entire body of work throughout a professional career.
  9. Bravos go down nice and easy. If we don't score, is Woody good for another inning?
  10. Jeeze, just for an instant I thought that was hit much harder than it was.
  11. That was pretty terrible by Ronny. If we can just hold them here, I'm absurdly confident we'll win in the bottom of the inning.
  12. because no one cares about stats like that I personally think it's an important stat. Cubs batting .208 in that situation. What if the Cubs get a bases clearing double with one out, then the next two guys make outs? It doesn't really matter when you score runs. If they were .208 overall with RISP I'd be concerned It depends on the situation. Usually later in the game, 2 out hits with RISP are much more important. Maybe a more important stat would be RISP/2 outs inning 7+. and when its late and close Exactly. Occasionally, RISP/2 outs in late innings could show how clutch certain teams are (although the Cubs have been very good in the late innings). I wouldn't be surprised if the Cubs RISP/2 outs inning 7+ is much higher. uh oh you just said the C word Cubs? Soto swung at ball four and hit the hell out of it.
  13. Geo walk followed by an Edmonds walkoff against Ohman. Yeah? Yeah.
  14. We had our chance last inning, IMO. We'll see what happens I guess.
  15. Damn it, I thought that was getting a run in.
  16. Unless Infante's a switch hitter, which I think he might be, they should take Eyre out.
  17. Marmol can't be used in every close and late situation. Give Eyre a shot.
